Nieuwe Herengracht 18A, Amsterdam, Netherlands

An enterprise of the Diaconie, the social welfare section of the Protestant church. It lays in a city garden, next to the Hermitage Museum. Hoftuin has its own vegetable garden, from which its staff serves herbal teas. Sells a range of organic, fairtrade and local products. Removed Jul 2017 - limited vegan options.

Hardly any vegan options - Edit

Very close to the Jewish History museum, this glass-walled venue was a welcome stop after a day of walking around town in sub-zero temleratures. I had a nice sweet onion soup but that was about all there was which was vegan, save salads. Soup was pricey but tasty and thick.

Pros: Warm and soup tastes good

Cons: Bit overpriced, Lack of vegan options.
