The Hofcafe is located right next to the inner city campus of Bamberg's university. Hence there are many young people around. All in all the visitors are pretty mixed though which makes for a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
There are several vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu which are clearly marked as such. There also is a special menu that changes around every other week and also contains one vegetarian dish. The prices range from around 7 to 12 Euro.
They offer breakfast till 4 pm and have vegan option there too. (Haven't tried this one yet.)
As a whole I would say their food is pretty decent yet nothing special. They are a solid choice for food in the inner city.
Pros: In the inner city, Decent food. Sometimes very good., Nice and friendly waiters/waitresses
Cons: Bit expensive at times, Can be crowded at times. specially in the evenings
