its ok but could be better - Edit
menu was clear as day. we shared a vegan fish with two adult fries. the portions were so big i dread to think about having ordered for two. the sauce was the best part, but it was so tiny we had to use ketchup. its ok but not the best by far

More yellow pepper than banana blossom - Edit
It's always a treat to get vegan fish and chips, and it's great that they are providing a clearly labelled option. The chips were good, as was the batter on the fish (both are cooked in vegetable oil). But the fish itself was disappointing, because it seemed to contain very little banana blossom and a lot of yellow pepper. For me, yellow pepper does not resemble either the taste or texture of fish. The whole banana blossom/yellow pepper mass was wrapped in seaweed, but unfortunately there was not much of a fishy taste because all I could taste was pepper. I wouldn't go back personally, but if you're in a group and don't have strong feelings about vegan fish, then it may be fine.

Premier restaurant à Londres pour goûter aux fameux fish and chips en famille. Les plats vegan sont bien indiqués et le vegan chips est excellent, mais sans accompagnement compris. Il faut commander une portion de frites. Les enfants ont adorés leurs fish burgers, avec cette fois-ci des frites comprises dans le prix.

We loved the idea of having a chance at trying a vegan version of the classical fish and chips. Unfortunately the fried part was really oil dripping and heavy, same for the onion rings.

I wanted a chance to have the English staple of fish and chips in a vegan form, and this place gave me a chance to do so. The fish and chips I had were pretty good; to balance it with something more healthy, I also had a salad, which was also fine. I finished off with a vegan cheesecake, which was tasty, but unfortunately frozen in its middle.

The person behind the counter was very friendly. The vegan option was advertised on a board outside and there was a sign inside too. I only ordered the fish and no chips as I just wanted to try the vegan fish (made of banana blossoms). I found the fish very greasy but it was still enjoyable comfort food. The portion was quite big (only managed to eat half). The inside of the fish was a bit weird, there was seaweed and maybe leeks along the banana blossom giving an interesting texture. I probably wouldn't have it again but definitely was worth the try.

Hobson's Fish & Chips - Edit
I was delighted to see Hobson's big sign advertising vegan fish and chips as I exited Waitrose one day. I popped over a few days later and gave them a try. The fish and chips were really delicious and cooked very well. I honestly rate them 3.5 but don't want to round up to a 4 because it wasn't my favorite since fish and chips can feel a bit greasy. It's an excellent offering for those who love this type of food.
