Not vegan - Edit
Please check before ordering as I was told the vegan options are cooked with the fish products.
Read moreI've started checking after previously visiting a chip shop in Canterbury and their vegan products were cooked with the fish.
I was told the same is done at Hobson's. There should be a disclaimer so people can make up their own mind.
Even my mum who isn't a vegan was cross.

Vegan fish and chips - Edit
I enjoyed their vegan fish and chips. Great tartar sauce. But nothing very special.

Fish and Chips in vegan - Edit

Middling - Edit
Was ok, chips were undercooked or just been left out a while and the vegan fish was mostly tasteless save for the vegan tartar.

Not Vegan - Edit
Thankfully we asked. "Vegan" items are cooked in same oil as fish! Hard pressed to consider this Vegan enough to advertise on the side of the shop. We moved on to Mildred's.

Tasty vegan ,Fish' with vegan Mayonnaise - Edit
Just like a chippy should be. But with a vegan option. Sadly the vegan fish is not yet offered as an option in the kids menu.

tasty - Edit
I tried the vegan fish and chips and it tasted very good. However, the place is pretty busy, so make sure that nothing is missing (no added onions that I paid for for me...).

Greasy grub - Edit
There are two vegan options; banana blossom fish and battered sausage. There is a vegan cheesecake too - £6.95. Unlike central London to have a vegan fish and chip option so this is nice! Quite greasy grub, the banana blossom portion size is bigger than the actual fish one. Not bad for what it is, quite expensive and at busy times you have to queue and wait a while for your food

Great vegan option - Edit
Had vegan and gluten free fish and chip options. It was great to have a place to eat with my son where both my son and I could eat together with no issues. The food was wonderful.

Almost there! - Edit
Hooray! A vegan fish and chips place! They fry the chips seperately to fish which is great! The chips themselves are okay and nothing to write home about and well portioned. The banana leaf "fish" doesnt quite hit though. Took a long long time to prepare, and was way too greasy to be enjoyable. Additionally, i just didnt like it, might just be my personal taste though!

Cons: Too greasy, Not a fan of banana leaf fish

Decent vegan fish and chips - Edit
Great to see a clearly labelled vegan option in a chip shop. Banana blossom was OK and needed ketchup. Chips were excellent.
