Best vegan food in Vietnam - Edit

My partner and I have traveled up and down the country trying the best vegan food everywhere. We've been staying in Ho Chi Minh City for a few months, and found this restaurant within the first few weeks. Not a week goes by when we don't come here 2 or 3 times.

The food is thoroughly Vietnamese -- with plenty of options for vegetable and tofu dishes or mock meats. We've brought many meat-eating friends, and they usually say the vegan version is better than the real thing.

Apart from the food, the family is so lovely and kind -- and entirely vegan themselves! If you're in HCMC, you'd be missing out not to eat here. At prices that can't be beat either!

Pros: friendly family owned, authentic local food, cheap price

Cons: Not in the center, Small restaurant, Need a taxi to get here

average local food - Edit

The bun hue (spicy noodle soup) was watery and weakly flavored. The fried rolls in the bun cha gio contained a bland paste. Far tastier vegan food can be had just a few blocks away at Ngo Vegetarian, or even at the non-vegetarian restaurant Hue Corner.

Pros: super cheap, I mean REALLY cheap, has an English menu

Cons: bland food, you may not initially be given the English menu, not a lick of English spoken here

Quick Service and Tasty Food - Edit

When I arrived it was still quite busy from the lunchtime rush however a waitress quickly cleared and wiped a table for me. I was given a menu in English which is handy as despite my best efforts my Vietnamese is rubbish. There is a wide selection on the menu including western style like vegan pizza and burgers. I had wok tossed vegetables on crispy noodles which arrived piping hot and were very tasty. I shall certainly return here as the food and warm welcome were very good.

Pros: Food , Service
