Okay, but - Edit
If you want to stay right at the waterfall, this is ideal. However, the food was just okay, nothing specially flavorful. If I had to do it again, i would probably go back to town and look for a proper restaurant.

Cheap and quick lunch curry - Edit
Order by machine. Clear signage that provides lists of allergins/ dietary restrictions. Vegetable curry and yuba are okay - not the greatest you'll have in Japan, but a good option in a small town that has limited choices. (Note that the vegetable udon dish has seafood listed as an allergin, so it isn't a vegan option.)

A couple vegan options - Edit
Vegetable curry with rice and steamed yuba with mild sauce were both ok but I’d only recommend if nothing else was convenient

Great curry - Edit
Vegetable curry is vegan, only 900 JPY. Also has yuba side for 400 JPY. Curry is great! But no other veg options.
