Tasty and all vegan - Edit
Sourdough pizza was very tasty but mapu tofu one was too spicy for me 😅 the tiramisu was not exactly like a non vegan one but was tasty nonetheless. The Black Forest gateau was the tastiest! The early grey tea was so good!

Very good - Edit
I got here like 30 minutes after opening but there weren’t a lot of pastries or anything. They do sell single servings of pizza, so I opted for the truffle mushroom and it was so good. I would recommend. I just wish they had more pastries and bakery items.

Very unique vegan food! - Edit
The food here was delicious and the ambiance was great! We had a pizza, some salt bread, cinnamon roll, earl grey mousse (?) and a earl grey lemon tea. The ‘cheese’ was amazing, the salt bread very soft and yummy, and the earl grey lemon tea was very interesting (it’s shaken!)

Surprisingly good pizza - Edit
I like traditional pizza with tomato sauce, cheese and pepperoni, so I wasn’t expecting much, but the pizza here was actually very good. The tuna pesto cheese pizza was especially memorable. I took a cinnamon roll home which was also quite good. Interior decor was very interesting too.

Lovely bakery with delicious pizza! - Edit
We went here because I was craving some bread-like food which can be hard to find in Taiwan. It did not disappoint. We had three different types of pizza: truffle, tuna-cheese, and scallion, and they were all great! Super delicious. We had some iced teas which were very nice. We also brought some croissant (tiny but delicious!!) and cinnamon roll for breakfast the next day. They stayed well in the fridge. This place is super good, has delicious food. English is spoken. Prices can be a bit higher because the food is uncommon but I found the quality you get for it is outstanding.

Good quality food! - Edit
A really nice restaurant that does some very good pizza! They have other pastries as well that you can grab and go with, which helped on day trips outside of the city! The sort of place that if I lived in Taipei I could see myself going back to a lot, but in our time in Taiwan, we only wanted to go there once. Definitely worth checking out!

We ordered two soy milks and were given two more expensive different drinks (which we paid for). They didn't speak English, and it was difficult to correct them.
Read moreWe also ordered cinnamon rolls, which weren't heated and were given to us in plastic bag instead of on a plate.
The atmosphere is good.

Quaint little pizzeria - Edit
Possibly the best vegan pizza I’ve had to date. The dough was absolutely fantastic, and generously loaded with flavourful toppings! We also had the Black Forest Cherry Cream Cake—which was lovely. Not too sweet, but sweeter than a lot of cakes you’ll find, say, in China. For the price, I found the food an absolute steal! Big recommend!

Tasty snacks - Edit
We had late breakfast/brunch, like pizza and drinks. I had a strawberry soy milkshake, which I really enjoyed. It was thick and rich in flavour! The pizza was also good, though a bit soft, she was rewarmed. The staff is very friendly.

Very nice desserts and pizza - Edit
We lived nearby and had some take out desserts and a piece of pizza. The mushrooms pesto pizza was really nice, even though it is not freshly made on the spot. The vegan pudding and chocolate mousse were delicious. I also liked the salty croissant.

Süsse Bäckerei/Cafe, sehr lecker! - Edit

The highlight was the pesto slice and salted croissant, the pizza wasn’t super fresh which I don’t mind but some others might not like. Cafe is cute.

Good but has minimum order cost for dine in - Edit
I had the original cinnamon roll and it was good. It was $70 NT, which was below the minimum order cost, so I wasn't allowed to dine in even though it wasn't busy and there were plenty of seats. I thought the rule was a little silly if it's not busy, but luckily there is a park right nearby which I was able to enjoy it at.

Alright cake - Edit
Their website doesn’t take foreign credit card, I chatted with them through instagram and was suggested to order a cake during my visit since they often keep a few cakes in stock.
Read moreI took their advice and ordered a Black Forest cake. The cake itself look ok from afar, but upon a closer look, cherry toppings were bruised.
Some chocolate shreds came loose in the box, it wasn’t due to rough handling during transit, they were loosely coated around the cake. They tasted “cheap”(Costco’s big bag of Swiss black chocolate would have tasted better), and didn’t go well with the cake. This kinda ruined my impression of the cake, there’s also fruit mixed in the cream layer, I’d have preferred without.
To be fair, i this review is just for Black Forest cake, I’m planning to try a few more items and update this review then.

LOVE - Edit
I was luckily staying a short walk away from this place on my recent trip in Taipei so I went three times! I loved the earl grey and maple roll and the jasmine and blueberry roll. It’s perfect to pick something up to take with you and the staff were sooo lovely! They remembered my coffee order everytime!

Amazing Selection - Edit
I was in awe at all of the different vegan breads and desserts they had to offer. I ended up getting a few, and enjoyed them all, even though I only took two pictures. Some of the descriptions had the word vegan, and others did not, so I got confused if only some breads were vegan, but I confirmed with the person working there that everything they sell is vegan, so that is awesome! I would definitely consider coming by and having a piece or two (or more to go!), as many of these breads I have never seen before in the states. I will need to come back before I leave Taipei to try more of their selections!

Lovely Baked Goods - Edit
We visited this bakery many times during our stay in Taipei! Here are a few of the items we tried:
Read moreThe ham and garlic bun tasted exactly as it should - plenty of ham and garlic! We enjoyed this one.
The meat floss bun wasn't too exciting, unfortunately. The bread was good, but the small meat pieces tasted a little sweet and we would have preferred bigger chunks.
The earl grey and maple bun was sweet and delicious. The tea flavour was a little subtle, but pleasant.
The scones were the only item we tried that were not perfectly baked - the chocolate ones were a bit too crumbly for us. The cranberry scone had a better texture. Flavour-wise, everything was good!
We really loved this bakery and highly recommended it. It kept us well stocked up for breakfast and packed lunches on our trip, and even when we visited within the last hour before closing there was always still a decent selection.

Great selection of tasty breads and treats - Edit
We went to hip pun 3 times to get treats for the evening and breakfast the next day so we tried a lot of different things. All the breads were lovely and soft and kept well for the next day.
Read moreThe black pepper with tofu was the standout savoury. There was plenty of soft and moist tofu inside with lots of black pepper giving it a good bit of kick, the seasoning was excellent. The ham and rosemary snail was well flavoured and generous with ham. The maple mustard ham was tasty, it had a good amount of ham and cheese inside but there wasn't a lot of flavour from the cheese, the topping worked and it was nicely balanced. The sea salt butter bun was a bit disappointing, the salty butter was all concentrated in one spot, maybe this would have benefitted from being heated up so the butter would melt and spread more.
The egg yolk and taro bun was enjoyable, I'm not really sure what taro is but took a punt on it and the sweet taro worked well with the savoury flavour from the yolk. The cinnamon roll was good, it was big and generously filled. It's not the best I've had but it was good. The cranberry chocolate bread was big, it was filled with a chocolate spread and the cranberries added nice juicy pops of sweetness and sharpness. The chocolate cake bread was a piece of chocolate cake with a layer of chocolate bread baked around it. It was decadent and enjoyable. The chocolate filled bread was okay, the chocolate cream filling was smooth and rich but it wasn't very well distributed throughout making the narrow not very well filled part a bit dull.
The basque cheesecake was tasty, I enjoyed the slightly savoury element and different texture from the egg yolk sections (these egg yolks remind me of hard boiled yolks rather than runny ones). The salted caramel cake was tasty and sweet, I didn't notice much salt. There were 3 layers packed in there so it was a bit slippery and slidy as I tried to get my little fork into it. The chocolate brownie was tasty but was more cake than brownie with good chunks of nuts in there. The sesame cake wasn't quite sweet enough but the bake was good and the cream smooth. The french pudding tart had good pastry and a lovely smooth filling. The chocolate mousse was great, very decadent with a great texture and the chocolate flakes on top were a good addition.
Not everything was quite to our tastes but I recommend it to anyone who wants to try a good range of different breads.

Had a delicious cinnamon roll. I went as soon as they opened. Just be aware they usually open later than you might expect for a bakery.
