Best vegan comfort food in US - Edit
I normally don’t like going to vegan ‘comfort food’ places as they are too oily and unhealthy. However, this place made me completely changed my mind! Their food was delicious!! And felt very fresh. The philly cheesesteak and nuggets were the best I’ve ever tasted.... I even had to question if the chicken nuggets were vegan they tasted so good! Highly recommend this place!

I've been here twice when I've been in town and loved my sandwich both times. The fake chicken sandwich is crispy and flavorful. Sweet potato fries are also great. On my first visit a nonveg eater was with us and didn't realize her sandwich was fake meat - she is a picky eater and may not have given it a chance if she had realized it before ordering. She thought it was great.

I have a client by this HipCityVeg and it is great being able to stop here for lunch all the time. Crispy Ranch and Ziggy Burger are my favorites, nuggets are close as well. This has been a great addition to the DC veg world!

Chinatown location is fun. We placed an order online and came home before realizing they forgot one of our fries. It’s a little expensive but good for a treat. Nuggets taste like real nuggets with a great texture. The HipCity sauce is great with any and all of their food.

I found this place by accident while roaming around looking for a dinner. I got some kind of pretend chicken sandwich that was so reminiscent of a real chicken sandwich (at least what I remember chicken sandwiches to be like), that it was hard to believe it was vegan.

Came here on a rainy day. We ordered two burgers and fries, the buffalo bella and the one with the beyond burger patty. They hit the spot when we really craved some vegan junk food. A good combination of sauces. Fries were decent too.

The fajita chicken wrap is super scrumptious: fresh with a well balanced coterie of textures and an understated boldness of flavor. My wife got the beyond Burger and it was one of the best incarnations of that famous plant based Burger I've had. Sweet potato fries are on spot too.
