Also, the staff exuded friendliness, and the energy at HipCityVeg was positively electrifying!
Read moreI ordered the Philly Cheesesteak ($13.95), a mouthwatering masterpiece with grilled steak, maitake mushrooms, grilled onions, mozzarella cheese, and a generous amount of ketchup, all nestled within a long roll. Every bite was delicious – the vegan steak was unbelievably tender, the cheese melted flawlessly, and the mushrooms added an unexpected depth without overpowering the dish. My only wish? That they'd cut the sandwich in half for easier eating – it's messy, but oh-so-fun. And yes, extra napkins are a must!
As a sidekick, I tried their onion rings, and they were nothing short of ideal. They were battered and fried to golden perfection, delivering a satisfying crunch and an aroma that was downright heavenly. However, I must admit that the hefty price tag of $5.95 for just about four onion rings left me a bit surprised and that I can't justify.
Opting for takeout, I walked to Love Park, just a 10-minute stroll away. There, amid Philly's vibrant atmosphere, I savored every bite with the cityscape as my backdrop.

The Philly cheesesteak was pretty good option. I also got sweet potato fries and the Sriracha aïoli. Highly recommended the sriracha aioli to be added to anything that you get there especially for dipping the fries.

We got lunch to go two days in a row from HipCityVeg because it was good! We had the ranch chkn sandwich, beyond burger, curry tofu wrap, blackened chipotle fajita wrap and vegan milkshakes! All were delicious but the ranch and burger sauces were especially delicious! The online ordering was super convenient and both days the orders were ready right on time.
