A bit pricey these days, but quality to go with it. - Edit
Prices have gone up quite a bit in the years that I've been going here. The Philly Steak tastes different now as well, I had one recently and it did not taste like the last time. It used to be my favorite item, but now the Crispy Classic is. This place's secret sauce is the bomb. The fries are nice but almost always cold (only at this location I've gone to HCV all over) even if you eat them as soon as your order is up.

everything here is vegan. i always get the chocolate milkshake and the philly cheesesteak (without ketchup). it is such good comfort food and i have doordashed it many times. also, they have a 10% student discout which is great.

The food is good at this location, and the staff is great. However, the seating needs to be updated. The material from the booth was missing significant amounts. It was a little embarrassing bringing my friend here and seeing this. I had the Grilled Disco Chick’n, sweet potato fries, and tangerine turmeric lemonade. All very good. My friend had the Jerk Caesar Salad and the cookies and cream Banana Whip 2.0, which was a huge ice cream bowl. I wish I would have taken a picture. I would still recommend this place for good, fairly quick food. #Veganuary

Great to be dining back inside and on the tables, especially on this hot day. As the same as the other locations, their chipolte chickin wrap, sweet potato fries, and regular size chocolate milkshake left much to my desire. Ms. Molly is also an excellent cashier.

HipCity really has some of the best food. Their burgers are my favorite, especially the smoke house. I love their fries and shakes as well. And their salads are surprisingly filling.
Read moreThe problem with Hipcity is they are so dang expensive. It's like 20 bucks for a burger and fries. Neither of which are big at all. It's good, but these vegan places are brutal. I've pretty much stopped going here. Now I just grab some vegan patties from the dollar store, and hook them up with vegan-smoked gouda, a bun, bbq sauce, and crispy onions. It's not as good and I gotta make it myself, but at least I can afford it 😅

A bit overpriced for what you get but the menu has good variety. Some of the food is pretty good, some of it is meh. Considered the go-to vegan restaurant for Penn students but I think Dizengoff, Goldie, and Hummus serve better-quality food

I have no idea why this place is popular - Edit
I have been vegan for more than twenty years and have eaten in vegan restaurants in three different countries, and I have NO IDEA why, in a city with as many vegan options as Philadelphia has, Hip City Veg is popular. The food is so greasy it gives me a stomach ache, it doesn't taste good, and many of the menu items are nothing more than overly-oily preparations of frozen foods (e.g., Gardein) that could be made to taste much better at home without much effort. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

I have tried about 4 different burgers from here the Ziggy Burger 10/10, the Bistro Bella 8/10 , Buffalo Bella 9/10, and the disco chik’n 10/10... oh yeah and the fries are literally so good. Don’t forget to ask for the drinks without ice in them... all of the desserts tend to be a little too sweet 7/10 rating for all desserts.

What amazing food! I came here for lunch and ended up with a vegan burger, fries, and cupcake that tasted heavenly compared to other vegan restaurants I’ve been to. The seating isn’t that bad, and the staff were very friendly.

We drove all the way from South Carolina to find the best Philly Steak in town. Awesome sweet potato fries with Siracha Aoli and a Orange Creamcicle milk shake for desert. A must stop when in Philly.

Yummy Vegan Fast Food - Edit
The atmosphere is very urban and stylish. The food is so yummy. My favorite is the cheese steak and fries of course and my children absolutely love the cupcakes. 😂They offer free herbal water which is refreshing! I also like that it is family friendly.
