Excellent! - Edit
Big Bear does not have many vegan options, so we were very happy to find the Himalayan. The food was delicious! We had the garbanzo beans and the daal, both fairly spicy (we asked for 7 out of 10 and it was perfect), and they were both excellent. The server was very knowledgeable and was able to tell us which items were vegan, which was more than half of the fairly extensive vegetarian menu. We will be back next time we're in Big Bear!
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Knowledgeable staff, Great food

Authentic Food from Nepal and India - Edit
Nobody was sure what to expect when they opened a few years ago but this place has become a local favorite and they had to expand into the space next door.
The service is not quite to American standards as almost everyone is newly immigrated from Nepal, but if you can get past that, the food is great. I wish the pricing was a bit lower. But this is downtown in the Village of a resort town, so what can you do. If it was cheaper I would eat there every day. Lots of options for us Plant Based eaters.
At the end of the day, good, consistent, quality food is most important so I would recommend to a friend and in fact we take our friends here when visiting all the time.
Pros: great location, great flavours and dishes, , cozy nice atmosphere
Cons: everything could be a dollar less, language barrier with server sometimes

Wonderful Place - Edit
Run by a local family, this place is one of our favorites on the mountain. The food is delicious. The cabbage veg dish is totally yummy. Don't be afraid to ask about ingredients, they are very helpful and kind.
Pros: Delicious, Friendly
Cons: Can get busy during snow/vacation times.

Amazing food / OK service - Edit
The service was the only draw back to the place. I felt as if they did not acknowledge my family. We waited 15 minutes just to be acknowledge that we needed drinks. BUT they made up for it in the end and were really kind.
I would recommend it if you're able to deal with OK service. They're nice but the way everything is done isn't the best.
But I would say if you're in big bear its a good place to eat for vegetarian, and vegans who are comfortable in asking for ingredients since they only offer vegetarian menu.
I would recommend the lentil soup... It's amazing.

Very Good Food - Edit
The food here is some of the best Nepalese/Indian food I've had. We ordered the Dal and the Garbanzo beans curry and both were spectacular. I ordered spicy for the garbanzo dish and unlike other restaurants, it really is spicy. So, beware if you order spicy. My husband couldn't eat the dish because it was too spicy for him. Also, we wanted to order the veg mo mos, but they aren't vegan. We asked and it has cheese in it. Good for vegetarians, but not for vegans. This is probably the best and tastiest veg option in Big Bear Village. I highly recommend it.
Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Large portions
