Wonderful flavors!

I asked the server which dishes could be made vegan and he said most of the ones on the menu except the ones with cheese and maybe a couple others. I had the Nepali Dal Fry with a roti bread and both were so good. The dal dish was unique - different spices from the usual dal I get at Indian restaurants - and the roti was massive (they’re usually little) and very soft and delicious given it is whole wheat. The server was super friendly and helpful, the food came out very quickly compared to other Himalayan restaurants in the area, and the prices were very reasonably. Will definitely be back, next time with our kids.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Friendly service, Not pricey

So flavorful

Went with a large group of vegans (everyone was a first-timer, except one couple). Almost everyone ordered something different so we were able to try a plethora of dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious, came out hot, and huge portions for such a reasonable price. Another review complained that the menu wasn’t well labeled, but each dish tells you exactly what’s in it, so we found that helpful. The couple we were with that had been there before instructed us that you could make almost any dish vegan just by asking. None of us took advantage of this, but it was great to know for next time. Can’t get over how flavorful everything was!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️

In a town with so many Indian restaurants, the little things can really make a difference. For me, that’s whether or not vegan options are labeled on the menu. Here they are not. The staff seems knowledgeable about their menu and which items are vegan, but I strongly prefer to be able to find that information on the menu so that I can be prepared to order when the server arrives. I ordered a few of my favorite Indian dishes and they were okay. Some of the seasonings weren’t to my personal preferences but not so much that it kept me from enjoying my meal. The portions were more than fair for the pricing. I asked my partner how he would rate his (non-vegetarian) meal and he gave it a glowing 4 stars. I asked him how he would rate mine and he said 3 stars. So that may be something to consider if you’re going out with a group of people who aren’t all ordering vegan.

Pros: Good portions & prices , Knowledgeable staff

Cons: Menu not labeled

Flavor Bonanza

The mother lode of Sherpa treats. Need I say more? I needn’t, and shouldn’t, and yet I shall. Pour some vegan chow chow down your esophagus and you will gain the strength of 1000 Buddhas. Eat a momo or fifty and you will gain the strength of 20,000 yetis. I implore you to heed this wisdom.

Pros: Generous portions, Flavor bonanza

Great vegan Nepalese/Indian food

I drive all the way from Durham to get this, a favorite. There are many items that are vegan, and just let them know if you are because some of the vegetarian items can be vegan also. We get chana saag without the cream... sometimes just saag which is not on the menu. They are very accommodating. Definitely try the chow-chow and momos.

Pros: Good Food, Good Value, Nice people

Cons: far from Durham
