They say bread isn’t good for you, but I don’t regret a bite. If you are serious about your bread, go here. This is the only reliable source in the area for naturally leavened bread; join the cult, get on the mailing list, figure out the schedule, eat good bread. Many types are vegan. Is it pricey compared to factory loaves? Yes. But it keeps well and you might eat it all in one day, which some people do. The apricot pumpkin seed is bliss. Yes, you can get avocado toast here, and it’s all that you would hope.

We stopped in for a nice bite. I enjoyed the avocado toast and my hubby had the portobello sandwich. I liked mine better, but both were good. Menu changes every month.

Vegan options must be a hot commodity at this place because they only had one vegan burger left and another customer was looking to get it too. We also got avocado toast. The food was very tasty!

Truly their vegan smash burger is the best I have ever had. Served with a side for $9 on freshly baked, organic, toasted sour dough bread, along with eggplant spread, micro greens, tomato and homemade pickles, it was absolutely delicious. The patty was crisp and tasty, cooked just right and not dominating like all other vegan burgers. The menu changes monthly so not sure it always will be available, but no doubt other vegan options offered in the future also will be made from scratch and yummy. The sandwich shop is co-located with the bakery Simply Bread for You, so other vegan and no vegan options also are served with their homemade baked goods, which are outstanding and nutritious. Loaves of bread also are available for purchase but call ahead if interested as they sell out early and bake only on certain days.
