Yummy vegan food - Edit
The burrito I got was so delicious and had so much flavor. The kombucha was amazing. The restaurant had the perfect vibe and nice music. The staff is so friendly. The serving size was enough for leftovers.

Highs and Lows - Edit
I ordered the Rosemary Seitan sandwich with a side Caesar salad. We received our food quickly. I didn't like the oiliness of the bread, and it made it feel soft despite being toasted. Overall, the sandwich tasted kind of bland. Conversely, the salad dressing was amazing. Next time, I would skip the sandwich, and just order a full Caesar salad.

Great food! Great service! Great price! - Edit
I had the High Note Potatoes with scrambled tofu. It was superb…flavor, texture, it even looked appetizing! My And then there was the service. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and our food came out relatively fast considering it is a fresh meal with wholesome ingredients. Will definitely return and try other menu items. Oh, also, I like the art on the walls!

Meeting the vegan stigma - Edit
I looked at this place's menu for almost two years before finally deciding to go to brunch. My partner and I were ignored for almost 10 minutes upon walking in and the staff seemed like zombies. They are still wearing masks, have BLM signs in their windows, and in general just a really leftist vibe which was offputting. My bf got the breakfast sandwich and I got the skillet with tofu and potatoes. They were pretty much identical in ingredients and flavor with just a different presentation. They were both pretty bland and the tofu was crumbled so small it was like it had been pulverized in a food processor. Granted it was a Saturday but we waited over an hour for our food to come out and when it did it was barely warm like they had forgotten about it sitting on the order counter. As we were leaving a waitress came out and asked the other patron dining near us if he had placed his order already. I had heard him order almost half an hour prior and he second guessed himself to which I provided confirmation yes he had a while ago which made it seem like they probably forgot to ring it in. I probably won't go back here which is unfortunate because I would love to support an all vegan business.

Cons: Absent-minded staff, Long wait times , Pushes leftist ideology

Lol “pushes leftist ideology” with masks and supporting BLM lol They support LGBQT too & even serve food to those with alt right ideologies. Sounds like a cool, non judgmental environment inclusive & welcoming to those with varying beliefs. With that said, i’ve been there and had to wait awhile for my food too which sucks. Other times, i got it rather quickly. I guess even restaurants have bad days, especially in todays climate in finding workers that stay, the whole service industry is suffering with constant turnover & training new staff who leave after putting up with rude or entitled customers. I had the same crap service at cheesecake factory during the day on a tuesday at 1pm.

Wonderful all-vegan local spot - Edit
This place has tons of variety for a super small and local spot. The wait staff is so nice and the food is delicious. There is a comfortable patio that is nice to sit out at. The best thing on the menu is the breakfast burrito, in my opinion! The sandwiches are all good, but the bread recipe could be improved, as it’s just a little crumbly and doesn’t always hold the awesome ingredients they fill them with.

Like eating at home only way better! - Edit
This is our family's favorite Vegan restaurant in Boise. The portions are great. There are a lot of great menu choices and the staff is super friendly. The place is small, so it's not super fast but it's a great dining experience. People are friendly and you can tell the place is full of regulars that come back to eat great, consistent, delicious vegan food. We have never had a meal here we haven't liked. It's not super healthy, so it's not the choice if you're oil-free or trying to eat healthier, however, it's great comfort food. We also love the comfort of being able to order anything off the menu.

Horrible staff and food - Edit
We are vegan and this was a go to until today. My husband was treated like garbage. The staff felt like they can talk to you like garbage. They gave us the wrong order we still tried to eat it but all of it was horrible. I just cant believe how when the world changes how rude people (staff at The High Note) become. I wasted to much money with these awful people.

So happy I found this place during my quick visit and they just reopened back for indoor dining (limited of course). Breakfast burrito is such a bomb (not exaggerating). Real delicious home made food made from scratch and not expensive.

glad we went - Edit
Had the burrito daily special which was delicious and wasn’t just the run of the mill burrito; it had a peppery hominy as part of the filling. Also had pie that was yummy. For drinks had a couple different versions of the lemonade. We ordered and left and came back and the food was ready pretty much exactly when they said it would be.

Tasty Vegan Junk Food - Edit
There were not a lot of vegan options traveling through Iowa so we were thrilled to support an all vegan restaurant. We got the habanero quesadilla, horseradish cream melt and the breakfast sandwich. The best part of the meal was actually the Caesar side salad. Almost never order salads at restaurants because I feel like I’m missing out but it was incredibly tasty. 100% worth visiting if you’re around Boise. There’s a nice park with picnic tables two blocks away you can take your food to.

Wish we could have eaten more from High Note! Only ordered some breakfast tacos to go before heading to less vegan-friendly places and I'm so glad I did. Delicious! The rest of the menu looks great, too.

Love this place - Edit
This is one of my favorites. I have had many items on their menu and everything was pretty good. Everything is vegan. Can’t really say I have a favorite item. The tacos are delicious and the gyro was stellar. They have good food but not open when I’m don't with work so I have to get someone to go in for me. But now they close earlier so I can’t get food unless I want it sitting for 8 hours.

Great options, kinda greasy - Edit
I love a vegan diner. Love. Upon seeing the menu I decided I would eat here both of my nights in Boise. The quesadilla with soy curls was delicious. But I wound up with a bad stomach ache - maybe because the good was kind of greasy. Also the ventilation was terrible and my coat smelled like grease for days. I opted for a different option night two.
