Delicious and huge portions! - Edit
I had to visit this all-vegan cafe. I had the brunch quesadilla, stuffed with beans, veggies, and a tofu scramble - it was delicious and I couldn't even finish the entire thing. The raspberry mint lemonade was the perfect refreshment on a hot day. Service was amazing. On the more expensive side, but this was basically a meal and a half. If I'm back in Boise I'll definitely be trying more menu items!

Delicious Brunch! - Edit
Best food we had in Boise! Our server told us they are 1 of only 2 all vegan restaurants in Boise! We went for a Saturday brunch. Outside and Indoor seating. I had the Philly Breakfast burrito. I also asked for a side of the cilantro crema. Paired with the habañero hot sauce on the table it was amazing! My partner had the Masher which was equally delicious. Everything was seasoned so well. Diner coffee was decent too. Our server was so friendly, too!

Only vegan spot downtown Boise - Edit
Cute little restaurant downtown. Has a cute little outdoor seating area tha’s mostly shaded by either trees or the building. The food was great and full of enough flavor. I loved the food, the variety, being full homemade vegan, and our server was also great! She was very friendly, courteous, and on top of it.

Boise's First(?) Fully Vegan Restaurant and Their Experience Shows! - Edit
So far I've eaten at High Note Cafe once, a couple weeks ago. I have wanted to try them for a while, but we usually order delivery through Door Dash or the like. According to the High Note Cafe website, they "do not participate with third party online ordering" which is a shame because I really liked their food!! It was a hot day, but still nice enough to sit outside. Their outdoor seating area only has a few small tables, but there was a canopy over a couple of them so we had a pleasant time. To drink, I had my server's recommendation: a mix of their jasmine green and hibiscus iced teas. So perfect on a hot summer afternoon~ To eat, I ordered the French dip and the tomato coconut basil soup, the latter being served with the same housemade bread that the French dip was made with. That BREAD ✨🍞🤤💖 The server (who was awesome all around) asked if it was alright that the soup order was basically going to double my bread intake, but after I ate it, I was sooo happy that I got so much. It was somehow both hearty and light, crumbly and robust, just the most amazing texture and flavor. I'm definitely ordering another bread thing next time I visit, which will be quite soon, since I'm keeping High Note Cafe on my Sunday lunch date rotation! The only negative was that my French dip sandwich wasn't very dippable. The filling fell out constantly, whether trying to dip or just taking a bite (I started spooning the dip onto the sandwich, which did help a bit) so my hands were just covered in filling and sauce by the end. Since the sandwich was so mindblowingly delicious, I wasn't put off by it, but I would like if there was some way to make the sandwich dippable, lol. Other than that, I had a great time here (quick mention that the soup was also stunningly delicious; never would have thought to put tomato with coconut but it WORKS 🤤) and I can't wait to go back!

Update, 30 July 2023: Ate inside this time! It's a bit small but cozy and fun. The French Dip is no longer on the brunch menu. It was replaced with something much less messy: the "Habanero Hominy Queso-Rito". The arugula was distractingly bitter against the rest of the ingredients but overall it was super yummy and I'd order it again! The crispy tortilla was sooo delicious~ For my drink this time, I tried the Blueberry Basil Lemonade, which was sweet, fragrant, and cold, perfect for a hot summer day!

Pros: stunningly delicious food, shaded outdoor seating, friendly staff
Cons: no delivery options, arugula doesn't work on the queso-rito

So good - Edit
The homemade bread is what made the grilled cheese so amazing. The tomato soup was a bit coconutty for me but that’s personal preference. The service was fantastic and they even brought my friend’s 1 year old a plate of cucumbers and oranges. I’d go back.

Weekend go to - Edit
We had the tomato soup and black bean quesadilla. The soup was a thin consistency, but good. As other reviewers noted, the quesadilla cheese is house made and a soft slab versus melted cheese. I found the cheese tasty, not overly salty, and was fine with the consistency. The sauces; pico de gallo, avocado salsa and cilantro lime cream were fresh and really made the quesadilla sing! I used all of them. Service was attentive, friendly and helpful with other places to visit. Dining room is small. We visited on a Monday around 2p and there were a few tables occupied and steady flow of to go orders being picked up. They have parking beside the building. Definitely worth another visit.
Read moreUpdate: this has become a weekend staple for us. Really enjoying the brunch items… High Note Potatoes, Tofu Scramble with potatoes, Breakfast Sandwich and Hot Cakes. I do wish they offered some items a La Carte. I like to have sweet and savory in one dish or being able to order a savory entree with a side of one hot cake versus a whole order.
