I enjoyed a hot ginger sirup with a brownie (great!) and a Laddus (fantastic).
Nice little cafe. Worth a visit.

Small, clean, friendly, yoga-ish atmosphere. Vegan and veg daily specials and large salads. Just watch out for the potato salad part of the mixed salad if you're vegan. Portions are generous and price is relatively inexpensive...for Switzerland. Quality and taste is ok but nothing special. Across the street is a Starbucks where you can get your soy chai latte afterwards ;-)

Nice little coffee/sandwich shop, 50 meter from the station. The stuff is very kind, they had 4 different vegan sandwiches and 4 different vegan muffins. Everything was extremely good!

Conveniently located at the side-entrance (called wave or 'Welle') of the train station in the city center of Bern. It's a place to recharge batteries as the food is delicious and the restaurant is radiating calm. Their menu isn't overloaded as often seen in other places and their portion sizes are generous (but they do ask if you want a big or normal portion). Variety of take-away foods (sandwiches, cookies, muffins), some vegan. The daily special sometimes offers a vegan variation.
I recommend their mixed salad as they always include a starch (e.g. potato or lentils). Can get busy over lunch time. Opens early morning, closed in the evening and all Sunday.

We went yesterday and we were a bit disappointed about the quality of the food. The service Staff are friendly but the food (vegan) is not really the best. The sandwiches were ok, but forget the muffins (old and terrible). If you are vegan, go there only if you don't have anything else. The Atmosphere reminds of the 80ties when you as vegetarian/vegan were accepting everything that did not smell like meat.. time has changed .. for good.

When I was there, they had no vegan sandwiches, and only one vegen dessert. I had a Birchermüsli and a bun, *both* of which were unfortunately stuffed with about 50 pumpkin seeds. The stuff didn't know whether any other buns were vegan or not.
I also had the vegan muffin, but that was really horrible. Not deserving of the name muffin at all, and I tossed away 60% of it (and I HATE wasting food).
My friend had a cheese sandwich and a brownie (both not vegan), and said they were fine, though not especially good.
All in all quite disappointing, sadly. :-(

Right next to the main train station in bern, which was very ideal. Had about 3 sandwiches to pick from, my girlfriend got an amazing hummus sandwich and I got the arribatta pasta, which was superb. Not the biggest menu but the owner is very accommodating and friendly which made ordering very easy. I would recommend.

I'll start with the good, because there isn"t much. The servers were friendly and the location was convenient. The resto decor is also very nice. Prices are reasonable by Swiss standards. And that's where it ends. I hate giving bad reviews, but frankly, this place is atrocious. Everything we ordered here was just terrible. The soup, a lentil/bean soup was characterized primarily by its main ingredient - salt. The muffin, which had to have been a day or so old, was a terrible white flour sugary mess. The coffee was terrible, and the pasta was something I would have made in college. Overcooked noodles and sauce that comes out of a jar. All in all, a terrible experience. Save your money to spend at the much more expensive, but far more worthwhile Hitls at the Bahnhof. Happy Cow will not let me give lower than 2 cows. I would give this place 1.

Hier & Jetzt is a nice and cosy place to have breakfast and lunch. They always offer two kinds of soup - one of them vegan - and a good selection of pasta - vegetarian or vegan style. Always very yummy and highly recommended, not least because the staff is very lovely!

Hier und Jetzt is a welcome alternative at the less expensive end of the scale. Their sandwiches, soups, pastas, and sweet things are good for a snack or a light meal, though for a hungry diner to make a full meal out of them might require ordering more than one item - but their reasonable prices make that easier to manage.

Vegan options were relatively limited on my two visits: one soup, two sandwiches, pastas, and a berry muffin. Nearby Tibits has much greater variety, but at nearly double the cost.

In the clean and comfortable restaurant, I had a cold ginger drink which was nice and strong. For take-out I got a Veggie-burger, and I requested extra sauce (being from North America, I have non-European tastes). They added an excellent spicy tomato sauce, without me even having to use the word 'ketchup'. It was a nice big burger with lots of vegetables in it.

For desert I got a white chocolate tart which was amazingly good. Both of these items were dragged around for half a day in the car before I got around to eating them, but they were still in perfect condition.

To wash it all down I got a Chi drink which is a refreshing bubbly healthy slightly-fermented beverage made in Switzerland. Mine was the fruit flavor, it is a little bit like Kombucha, but more refined and genuinely enjoyable rather than just merely tolerable.

My only regret is that I did not buy more stuff!

So you'll get to the address and need to walk past the Sony place and look for retracting glass doors. Its great little place for lunch. There is a glass area with several sandwiches, salads and muffins. There were at least 5 vegan ones, but you have to look really close to not miss all the vegan options. The hummus one was good and so was the vegan muffin. We at for 20 franks and split 3 sandwiches and a muffin and two teas. Tibits won't get you near that for one person. I prefer this place, but would have liked more it if all the breads weren't covered in nuts, picking them off is a bit of a pain. There is no meat, its completely Vegetarian. I really don't understand the wording of the review below :)
