Way too expensive

Thought this place looked okay but the food is way too expensive - more than what I would even pay in Australia.

Vegetarian and vegan options

I was hesitant as from the street it looks like a seafood restaurant. But there is a lovely little garden out back (hence the name) and good selection of vegetarian and vegan options. It is pricey though.

Great Vegan options

I really loved the food here.
First dishes aren’t vegan but the mains are and the staff is really accomodating:)
A bit overpriced in my opinion

It should not be on this app

Overpriced place with almost nothing vegan. Every kebab place in this city have more options then this restaurant. Why is it even here?

Cons: Extremely overpriced, No main vegan dishes, One or two boring and unapealing vegan appetizers

A lot of vegetarian options

This restaurant is a real gem in Istanbul, offering a lot of vegetarian options. The food is very good and the staff is super friendly, but not in a forced way.

Pros: A lot of vegetarian options, Very friendly staff

Cons: More expensive for the area

Rien de vegan

De l’œuf dans le houmous et les falafels… le serveur insiste pour nous faire goûter des plats végétariens et à base de fruits de mer alors que nous sommes vegan !!

Came here after visiting the hidden gem, Theodosius Cisterna, and saw the reviews. Thought the food looked good and wasn't too impaired by the price, but it is pretty expensive. Like, equivalent of £11 for the vegan mezze.

Explained that I was vegan, and they brought over a mint yoghurt dip and something similar with the poppy seeded bread and they were convinced it was vegan. I asked if there was any milk in the bread (something to look out for in Turkey!) And he asked me if it was allergens, I said no, he said there's a little bit of milk in it - so be wary! They were helpful and wanting to understand, so they brought me over some different sliced bread to have with the vegan platter.

The food itself was pretty average and not massively exciting. The stuffed vine leaves were great though.

Pros: Helpful, Attentive

Cons: Expensive, Uncertain of veganism

good food but very expensive

the food tasted good, especially the homemade fresh bread. but it is very expensive compared to lots of other restaurants we‘ve been to in turkey and the portions are rather small as well. also we ordered a dish that would normally come with cheese and told them we were vegan and if they could leave the cheese off and the waiter said of course it would be no problem. however when they brought us the food it did have cheese on it; we sent it back and got something new without cheese. took a while though

Lovely food!

We had the aubergine and stuffed vine leaves for starter followed by the grilled vegetables and vegetable Hindu for main. All really lovely, especially the sauce on the vegetable hindu. Friendly staff and a cute little garden.

Great staff; food was so-so

The staff was really nice. English speaking and gave me some stuff on the house. I also appreciate how late it’s open! Pretty big veg menu, but the flavors weren’t anything special in my opinion. Overall not a bad experience!

Wonderful experience

Sought out this restaurant on our first, rainy night in Istanbul. Received a friendly welcome in an inviting atmosphere. Enjoyed a three course meal each with plenty of vegan options to choose from (staff helpful and knowledgeable in this area too). Highly recommend.

Lots of vegetarian options

Nice cosy atmosphere with a great back garden for sunny days. They have lots of vegetarian choices and some of them can be made vegan. I had the aubergine with olive and garlic sauce as a starter, fresh pomegranate juice and the best couscous I've ever had (ask to remove the cheese)!

Pros: Lots of vegetarian options, Some vegan options, Nice cosy place

Cons: Hard to tell what's vegan from vegetarian

Very enjoyable!

Nice stuff, very nice mezze and bread! Good choice for mezze and because of the enjoyable quiet backyard location!
