Great food, great ambiance - Edit

Vegetarian buffet with mostly vegan dishes. Offers a "fill one plate only" option for €7.90 or a all-you-can-eat buffet for €13. Kids price is €3 for all-you-can-eat !
Food is very good, with many options and there is a very nice outdoor eating area. Great friendly service and free wifi too.

Pros: Many vegan options

Friendly Staff and Good Food - Edit

I went to Hibiscus three times and the reason I don't go there more often is because of the price, even though it's not that expensive when you see what it includes: tea, soup and a plate you can fill as much as you want. There's also a more expensive option in which you can refill your plate as many times as you want.
The place has great decoration, and there's a backyard for when the weather is nicer (sometimes they have their dogs there, so take a look!). The enviornment is very calm and good, and the staff is incredibly nice. Not all options are vegan but if you ask the waiter he'll go through all the dishes with you.
The dishes change with the day, and on their Facebook you can see the menu, where they identify which dishes (and desserts) are vegan or microbiotic. The food is delicious, with very subtle tastes. However, one time I took my non-vegetarian friends there and they weren't as impressed as I hoped.

Pros: friendly staff and good enviornment, good food, well identified vegan options

Cons: not cheap (but also not expensive), didn't impress my non-vegetarian friends

Amazing and healthy buffet! - Edit

We travelled to Braga for only a few hours and decided to eat at "Hibiscus" - which turned out to be an amazing decision. The service was really nice and helpful and explained to us all the vegan options. Turned out to be 85% vegan buffet and it tasted really good and fresh. After eating mostly vegan fast food for a few days the healthy options felt amazing. Definitely would recommend!

Pros: Healthy vegan choices, Friendly service, Nice atmosphere in what seems to be an old barn

Good buffet - Edit

We ate here once, but only because we didn't find it until our last day in Braga. Otherwise we'd have eaten here every meal.
Nice, fresh high-quality food in an airy, attractive setting. Staffed by nice people

Delicious food, friendly staff - vegan heaven - Edit

After 2 weeks touring northern Portugal, eating little more than salad rolls and the occasional boiled rice and steamed veg, this lovely little place in downtown Braga was a treasure-trove for two hungry vegans. Kind and helpful staff, serving delicious, imaginative food - today including an incredible, spicy seitan & potato dish and a wonderful, creamy, coconut flan for desert. Great value. We staggered away with full, contented bellies - two very happy cows :-)

Pros: Delicious food, Varied menu, Affordable prices

Cons: Nothing

Good place! - Edit

All choices will be good, guaranteed. There's a good ambience, and the owner is very nice and will guide you through the options. The desserts are also really, really good.

Beware of vegan, as the vegan options are clearly not marked. You'll have to ask the owner.

Pros: Amazing desserts, Affordable

Cons: Can get a little bit cold in winter, Vegan options not clearly marked

great food, friendly staff - Edit

Had a buffet lunch. There were 2 options, one plate, or as much as you can eat. I went for the 1 plate which was more than enough when crammed full of all the dishes on offer. Soup was also included and free tea refills. The staff were really great explaining everything (in a second language)

Pros: great tasty food

great quality and variety - Edit

We had the buffet lunch. You can have a one-plate or all-you-can-eat option. Great to have that choice. The food was good and tasty. Because we went for the one-plate option we wound up with a great variety of food on our plates, which all tasted great, but were not in perfect marriage. When you go for the all-you-can-eat option you can combine medeterranian or asian on one plate, so your plate has more balance.

Other than this, we had a great lunch. Service is (more than) friendly. We can really recommend this restaurant.

Bland - Edit

Pretty place, friendly people. have two menu options, a la carte or slightly more expensive buffet, where you can eat all you want, desert not included. the food is a bit bland, nothing special. a one time experience for me. However is great to have a vegetarian option at Braga.

Pros: Great to see a vegetariana option in braga

Cons: not the kind of food that impresses non vegetarian

Good - Edit

This spot was a little hard to find but it has a really nice atmosphere. The food is served as a buffet style. The staff was super friendly and took the time to walk us through each item to tell us which was vegan and explained why certain items weren't. We also had a vegan chocolate cake that was pretty good.
