Pizza sushiiiiiiiii

This cute little restaurant is a little out of the way (about a 20-min walk from Zhishan MRT Station), but it's worth the trek. For our savory items, my dining companion and I tried their unagi rice, yakiniku rice (with a fried egg), and pizza sushi. I don't know why I've never seen pizza sushi on any other restaurant menu before: it's utterly genius. Heureux has made a beautiful fusion product of Japanese and Italian cuisine. I think we probably would have just eaten more servings of pizza sushi if no one stopped us. But since you have to pre-order your savory items over LINE (in addition to reserving a table), we couldn't, which is probably a good thing. But all the savory dishes were fantastic. The desserts were on the smaller side, especially the hojicha pound cake, which was only about 2.5 inches in diameter, but the crust that it had developed from baking in a tiny bundt pan was quite nice. I enjoyed the cheese pie topped with fresh, in-season mangos as well. My Thai iced tea was delicious and not too sweet, but I could have used another helping of it since half of the glass was occupied with ice. The roobios iced latte was much more subtle in flavor.

We admired their beautiful cookies on the shelf, and we noticed that they were offering shepherd's pie (NT$150 per slice) from their freezer to reheat and enjoy at home. I wish they would continue operating as a restaurant, but they said that because it's a bit out of the way, they really haven't had much demand for their savory items. They are planning to stop restaurant operations in mid-August 2025 and focus solely on making cookies (for weddings and newborns). Show your support by booking a table and trying their delightful Japanese dishes before they finalize this transition!
