Tasty - expensive but expected in this area - Edit
I ordered the loaded vegan Mac and cheese with sticky BBQ seitan ribs. The place was very busy so I was asked to order at a table rather than the counter, the minimal staff I felt was doing a great job being very methodical to get things out as quick as possible. While ordering it said there was a 30 minute wait on the website for food, I waited maybe 20 (wasn't paying much attention to time though) and enjoying the atmosphere. The price was expensive however where it was and the quality this was totally expected so I was prepared to pay it, also nice to have something a bit different with the ribs things like that aren't always available. The Mac unfortunately came out somewhat cold but as it was so busy and after I started tucking in It didn't bother me and I really enjoyed the food.

Read moreWe shared the classic Philly cheesesteak fries and loaded mac & cheese, which were both excellent. The housemade 'beef' seitan and bbq ribs in particular, were exceptional and both dishes had tasty melty cheesey creamy sauces.
Staff were friendly and there was a nice vibe within Spark too. Can't wait to return and sample more of the menu. #Veganuary

Herbivorous was a little hard to find with all the food places in Sparks but once we found it, the food was definitely worth the search, we had the Chckn burger and loaded mac'n'cheese.

First time visiting at Spark in York and ordered the gluten-free Mushroom Philly fries. It was absolutely delicious. The cheesy sauce was incredible! I’d highly recommend and will visit again soon.

The food was SO SALTY. It was awful. We ordered a lot of food. The two chicken burgers were intolerable they were so salty and the mushroom philly cheesecake wasn't far behind. We tolerated a few bites and had to throw it all away.

It's not entirely healthy but it sure is tasty! The chilli cheese steak fries were really good, as was the loaded mac & cheese. Pretty good value too. Great for an occasional junk food treat!

Read moreI had the "Loaded Mac & Cheese" that came with pretty good ribs, and the "Paprika Fries" which were alright. I guess if you want more special fries, you should get the chilli/cheese ones.
I also tried the "Fried 'Chicken' Burger". The 'chicken' does taste like peanuts quite a lot (which is fine by me), but I really liked the salad and sauces.
Pros: Easy takeaway of leftovers
Cons: Not the biggest menu over all

Incredible Vegan Food! - Edit
The quality of the food here is amazing - the seitan in the burger might have been the best I've ever had! Whilst there was only one burger option, it really was a great one (despite being a bit difficult to eat!) and the range of loaded fries makes up for this too. The service was really fast, and The Spark is generally a wonderful place to be - the atmosphere is great! The main downside is that it's a bit pricey (£10 for the burger alone, £13.50 with fries), but if you're able to pop down I'd really recommend a visit.

Vegan Junk Food in Shared Space - Edit
This place was difficult to find using the map as it’s in a shared space of different food vendors with a shared central food bench area. Once you’re in, there’s a lively atmosphere - quite busy and loud.

The fries were nice - perfect amount of seasoning, the burger was pretty big with a large portion of “chicken” but the lettuce wasn’t too fresh. Unfortunately, the mac n cheese was flavourless.

Banging yummy comfort grub!! - Edit
Jack looked after us, the results were perfect, I had Mushroom Cheesesteak Fries, very tasty indeed. Love the communal eating space, these multi offering/food outlets really work. So nice to eat from a purely vegan place too, minimal chance of cross contamination with animal related products. 10/10 👍🏼

V tasty. Came just after 5pm on a Thursday. Had to wait a bit as the chef had gone to buy a coffee somewhere. Otherwise food came fast and was nice. We managed not to over order for once! Harissa cob was great (the mac n cheese not on)

The entire menu looks delicious, so it was hard to decide what to get! I opted for the loaded mac and cheese, which was just what I hoped it would be. The cheese sauce was richly flavored, but the vegan BBQ ribs were the real standout. Tender and great texture with a craveable BBQ sauce that is sweet and tangy. It was easy to order takeaway, but there is bench seating in Spark marketplace if you want to eat there. Overall, really pleased I stopped by and would recommend.
