🌱 Exploring Vegan Delights in Prague - Herbivore! 🍔🍕🥗 - Edit
🍽️ We recently dined at Herbivore, a charming vegan restaurant in Prague 2. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00-19:00, Herbivore offers a diverse menu of vegan dishes.
Read more🍔 We savoured the Beyond Burger with Tomato, Onion, Pickles, Lettuce, Vegan Mayo, and Dijon Mustard, served on a La Lorrain bun. The daily specials included Tomato Soup with Mini Patties and a Lentil Quinoa bowl with Fried Tofu, Fresh Veggies, Marinated Cabbage, and Avocado-Mango Dressing.
🍰 For dessert, we indulged in Raspberry Cheesecake (Cashew-based) and Apple Pie (vegan butter). To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a Flat White with Oat Milk, boasting nutty and chocolatey notes.
🌿 What sets Herbivore apart is its commitment to fresh, seasonal ingredients. The cosy ambiance and friendly staff like Bára made the experience even better.
☕ If in Prague, Herbivore is a must-visit for a delectable, eco-conscious meal! 🌿🍔🍰☕

Good buffet - Edit
The place is very cozy and the food tasted good. The only down was that it's a little expensive compared to other places in Prague. For Europe in general its a good price though!

A great mixture in the buffet - Edit
They have a lovely buffet that is different from other buffets my partner and I encountered because it had a variety of different types of food: Asian, Czech, mac and cheese, sandwiches, hot dogs, salad, etc. We enjoyed all of the options we tried (creamy mac and cheese!), but the goulash wasn’t exactly to my taste (I’ve never had it before so it was new for me).
Read moreIt has a nice, light, airy atmosphere with a variety of different seating options, including in the middle of the store. The store had a nice selection of staples. The staff were friendly.
We tried the desserts we had been seeing at various places throughout the city, which are labelled as Twix, Bounty, and Snickers (vegan knock offs). I was really disappointed because there appeared to be no sugar, just dates or coconut for sweetener. Also, they didn’t have structure: no peanut pieces or almond pieces/chunks. In short, they are nothing like what they say they are and I didn’t like them.
Pros: light atmosphere, great buffet, vegan staples

Did not have updated opening hours - Edit
I was here in July 2018 and came for breakfast. I came 10 min after opening hours but was met with a sign that said that they opened 30 min later than the hours posted on this site. Annoying and there were more people outside waiting. Checking happycow and their webpage the opening hours don't match at all, which is a pity for anyone touristing or even living in Prague that wants to make a visit.
Read moreThe breakfast was a granola with some plant milk and it tasted good, but was a bit light for me as breakfast. They have a store with veg groceries which is good, I found a kombucha rose hip which was great in hot summer Prague.

Delicious Vegan Options in the Centre of Prague - Edit
They have a small vegan buffet. The cost is 49 CZK per 100 gr which is a bit more than what we are used in Prague but I suppose it's okay as a price for this location. The service is nice.
Read moreThey have a big shop in the back of the bistro where you can buy different organic products: coconut water, nuts, dried fruits, lentils, beans, etc. The prices are okay.
We loved their Sacher cake. The food from the buffet was very delicious, a bit salty for my taste but I don't eat salt so that should be okay for most people.
Pros: Location, Vegan, Store
Cons: Prices

Weigh your meal. - Edit
Along the water you'll find this cute little place. Bistro style weigh your food, which I'll never be a fan of, I hate not knowing how much I'm going to pay. I put on my plate a piece of avocado on toast, a scoop of hummus and a some serve of tomato, watermelon & orange salad.
Read moreSalad was a bit acidic for me, it needed something else. The hummus was amazing! and the toast was nice as well. The meal was pretty expensive, especially for Prague standards, I also got an espresso which was just an Nespresso pod for $5!!! I also had a 3n smoothie which was more like a milkshake. The shop has a nice vibe to it and has a lot of shelves full of goodies and a couple of fridges.

Nice, simple breakfast spot - Edit
We came here for breakfast/brunch on a day when may cafes were closed. It was a very nice experience with friendly staff and a relaxed environment. Dips and salad were sold by weight and we had one plate of these with a roll, and a separately priced plate of avocado on toast. The hummus was delicious and the serving of avocado was generous but the toast had been sitting and was particularly fresh. I had a strawberry smoothie (135,-), which didn’t look impressive but was quite fruity. Afterwards we had a cup of fair trade filter coffees, which wasn’t bad.

cute shop, food just ok - Edit
Very friendly and cute place but unfortunately the food at the buffet wasn't very tasteful and didn't seem to be fresh anymore. Nice sweets though but compared to other places it's pricey for the quality you get. Sorry :(

Had a lovely lunch here, limited menu but this didn't really matter - what they did they did well. The vegetable soup was the best I've tasted! Hemp hit chocolate - gorgeous! The shop is great, loads to choose from and well laid out.

Really tasty vegetarian/vegan buffet (you fill up a plate or some to-go boxes and pay by weight) with the nicest little shop in the back. Right across from the river, it's a great atmosphere and a perfect meal. Their desserts are tasty and the staff is so friendly. Will definitely be stopping by again this trip!

We ate smoothie, snickers cake (delicious) and some stuff from buffet which was quite expensive (270ck for 0,5kg food = 1 plate ca. 10euro) but very tasty :) This is a small cafeteria with nice shop, cosy and perfect for afternoon break. Near Vyszehrad which is great

Must go back again - Edit
Lovely little café / health food / natural beauty products shop. Helpful staff, really tasty little buffet with excellent wraps. It was a rushed take-out visit but I will go again, eat in there as atmosphere was good, and have a proper look at shop as they had several items I had not seen elsewhere. Good location on the river front.

Pricey, but fantastic - Edit
Herbivore is a little pricier than most places in Prague (more like western-European prices), but for a treat it's amazing! We went for breakfast and had the acai bowl and the banana bread with peanut butter - both were delicious, and the banana bread was probably the best I've ever tried! The smoothies were also good. They have a pay-by-weight buffet where we also picked up some takeaway lunch: the sandwiches with roasted veg were delicious, and the quiche was very impressive.
Read moreIt's a really welcoming, cosy place and service was great. There is also a very well-stocked shop in the cafe. There isn't that much seating unfortunately, and the outdoor seating is ruined a little by the noisy traffic - it's probably better to get takeaway and wander a little way down the river for some peace and quiet.
Pros: Delicious breakfast menu
Cons: A bit pricey
