An unpacked, mostly vegan store sells mostly organic & fair trade products and is woman-owned and operated. Sells staples, confectionery, spices, teas, toiletries, and cleaning products. Has a refrigerator with vegan kimchi, tofu, tempeh, fresh juices and kombucha. Vegetarian items are honey and a couple of cheeses in the refrigerated section. Located next to the canal. Offers free jars and reused paper bags if you do not bring your own. Acts as a collection point for the vegan veggie-box collective PlantAge. Reported closed November 2023.

Beautiful gem of an unpacked store! - Edit

Herbie is such a nice shop - everything unpacked and the owner is super nice and really cares about and believes in the concept. There is a wide selection of staples like pasta and flour and sugar, as well as dried fruits and nuts, herbs and spices, teas and coffee, toiletries, reusable items, and cleaning products. There is also some confectionary and a fridge with drinks, tofu, tempeh, vegan kimchi, and so on. They act as a collection point for the vegan organic veggie box collective PlantAge (collection on Wednesdays). There is also fresh bread from the bakery Albatross.

We do most of our unpacked shopping here and always have a chat with the owner. It's great to have such a store in the neighbourhood, and it's right on the canal which is nice too! There are cleaned jars available in case you didn't bring your own.
