So Amazing!

I had a great experience here! The owner Greta helped me choose a juice and the chef behind the counter explained some of the specials to me. The selection is amazing for my shopping needs! I am really glad I found this little gem. There is nowhere like this in all of Beaufort or Bluffton. Endless organic and totally clean products plus absolutely delicious meals to go. I am a forever-client!

Pros: Huge Selection - One stop shopping, Chef on staff - Incredible meals, Southern Charm - Great service

Nice spot to grab lunch!

The staff is always nice and very accommodating. This is my favorite spot to grab something quick to eat! It is not a vegan restaurant, but they have several vegan and vegetarian options. Just ask the staff, and they are always willing to help. From the veggie quesadilla to the smoothies, everything is good!

Sandwich advertised and labeled as vegan not vegan

We came here for lunch after reviewing the menu on line where we found the following description for their Smokey Beet Rueben: "roasted beets, sauerkraut, housemade 1000 Island with veganaise, and swiss cheese on sprouted rye (VEGAN)". Once in the store, we confirmed on the menu board that the sandwich was vegan because the several sandwiches that were vegan were denoted with a big pink V (a legend was provided that showed that the V's were vegan, the GF were gluten-free, etc). I also noticed a Southwestern wrap on the menu which said it was made with cashew cheese but since this one did not have the big pink V by it, I confirmed at the counter that the entire wrap was actually vegan (it also had a sauce on it made with veganaise) so we ordered that in addition to the Rueben labeled as vegan. My boyfriend and I shared the two as we normally do. I finished my half of the Rueben before my boyfriend started into his half. When he did, he noticed that the consistency of the cheese was very, well, cheesy so he asked what kind of cheese they used and they told us it was Chao. He took another bite of just the cheese and was still concerned and asked again. This time we were told that it was actually real swiss cheese and that they were very sorry but if we had wanted it to be vegan, we had to order it vegan (even though the online menu advertises it as vegan and the menu board at the store said it was vegan). I ended up getting really sick. My boyfriend told them they needed to take the V off of the menu that indicated it was vegan but they argued that below that it said vegan cheese available and it sounded like they wouldn't be changing anything. I'd like to give the store a high rating for other reasons but because of this bait and switch and their refusal to address the issue, I cannot. If you are a strict vegan and/or cannot tolerate dairy, please be very careful here.

this place rocks!

The vegan smokey beet Reuben sandwich is amazing! JUST MAKE SURE you request to make it vegan with vegan cheese, if you don't they will automatically put reg cheese on it ! You can get a coconut milk late too!! yum!

they now make food at the juice bar!

For limited hours a day they now make hot food at the juice bar. (Don't remember the hours but I believe it's mostly lunch hours). Try the sour kraut and beer Rueben with vegan cheese, SO GOOD. The food is AWESOME. Everything in the store is high prices but that's pretty normal for Heath food stores and it's the only one of its kind in the town. Wish they had some more unique vegan items, as a lot of the vegan items they do carry we have at publix for half the price. They carry Chao "cheese" I'll be crushed if they stop carrying it (as the dos the sweet and Sara smores). Staff is always friendly and helpful and the store is well set up and clean.

Pros: nice staff and store, vegan options at the juice bar, only place like it for miles

Cons: small variety of unique vegan options, high prices

Cute Little Health Food Store

My husband and I took a vacation to Beaufort and we were quite pleasantly surprised to find this little health food gem.

They have a juice bar, a selection of fruits and veggies, and a well curated selection of dry goods (including bulk) and refrigerated and frozen items.

It's definitely a place the locals going to get supplies and I was glad to find it and try some of their unique items.

Pros: unique for the area, friendly staff

Cons: small, a wee pricey
