...an incredibly good restaurant.

This is an incredibly good restaurant. First, ALL their produce is organic, the chicken is free range and the beef is grass fed. It's also all local. But this restaurant isn't just heathy - everything is delicious!

Soups and Appetizers: (All the appetizers and soups are either vegetarian or vegan.) I've lived in the middle east, and I seldom find baba ghannough or hummus that I truly like. Here, BOTH are so good - they will spoil you for eating these dishes anywhere else. They will serve the appetizers with gluten bread, gluten free bread, or veggie sticks. The lentil soup was also authentic and excellent. The spinach and artichoke dip is delicious but it does contain canola and GMO soybean oil.

Entrees: We do eat chicken. So far, my favorite dish is the marinated chicken kabobs. Whatever they're using to marinate the chicken in tastes great. It comes with brown rice that is delicately flavored, sun-dried tomato pesto, also great, and a small salad. They also have tofu kabobs. My partner had the chicken shwarma wrap and loved it too.

Drinks: We had a pomegranate green tea that was also extremely good. (They have a different tea each night.) The strawberry lemonade - also great. The iced tea comes with no sweetener, so if you like things less sweet, you can sweeten to taste.

Desserts: We've only tried the flourless chocolate cake so far. VERY rich, very delicious.

We've been to the restaurant several times, and the service has always been extremely good - even on the weekend when they were very busy. And, they have a separate gluten-free menu - and will adapt other dishes to make them gluten free whenever possible. They bake their own gluten free crust for their pizza. They are also very open to modifying a dish for dietary concerns.

This is now our go-to restaurant in the Tempe/Mesa area. Also, since it is very near the 101 south, it is pretty easy to come down from Scottsdale too. And - the perfect place to go when one person is vegan or vegetarian and one eats meat. A LOT of choices for all three diets.

Local deliciousness

This place has some great food. They ingredients are mostly organic and all locally sourced; they say their primary source is various local farmers markets. So not only are you supporting a local business restaurant, you're supporting local farmers by going here too; it's like a locavore's wet dream. :P
But more importantly, the food. It's great. I had the tofu kabob and it was spiced very well and had a good texture. Had sides of hummus and baba ghanoush and both were spot on; very smooth texture, great taste; full, bold and rich. The baba had a nice early bite of lemon, and then developed a good baba eggplant flavour as it lingered that I really enjoyed. I didn't have room for my falafel wrap, but I tried it and it was really good as well. The falafel was full of flavors with good spices, but not over spiced like a lot of places do. The wrap was soft and tasty but didn't overpower the veggies and falafel balls, and the sesame dressing topped it off just right.

Love the community atmosphere offered by Herb'n Flavors. My very, very favorite dishes are:
- Lentil Soup
- Kale and beet salad
- Vegan cheese cake
Staff is extraordinarily friendly, and the food is affordable.

Tasty vegan options

This restaurant also serves meat, but had a number of satisfying vegan dishes. I've tried the falafel pita, veggie wrap, spinach and artichoke dip, raspberry cheesecake (vegan), hummus, fries, and tamales and I've been satisfied with every item. The service is pretty good and the place is clean. I would go here more often if even more vegan dishes were available.

Pros: Quality food, Good service, Clean

Great Vegan options

Herb n Flavors has a great variety of vegan options on their standard menu. On the back of the menu it lists the items that are vegan with no modification so you don't have to guess. The owner is also the owner of Dr.Hummus so I do recommend all the hummus and dips. I have been requesting the owner add a vegan dessert option as that is the only category they do not offer something vegan in currently. The portions are really great and I can't say enough about the veggie wrap, it is huge (could easily be 2 meals) and not expensive. They have a good falafel and the tofu kabob dinner is quite nice. Don't hesitate to ask questions as they really like to make sure you are enjoying your meal.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Nice restaurant, Good quality

Cons: No vegan dessert yet

Organic Heaven

From the intensity of Garlic to the smoothness of rosemary,
from the coolness of Mozzarella accompanied with melting Avocado,
to the warmth of Tomato and Basil, or the richness of Lentils,
from the Aromas of fresh coffee beans, and the tastiness of Almond Milk,
to the sweetness of our Chocolate covered Baklava ...
yet, our organic heaven has so much more for you ...
We call it Herb'N Flavors
