Worst vegan food around - Edit
I ordered the no chicken wrap, salt and pepper chips and vegan halloumi. The wrap had non-vegan mayo in (i could tells straight away from taste and i am also allergic to egg based mayo and was very ill that night and the next day). The chips were so salty (not even a nice asian style salt and pepper taste just overpoweringly salty), no one at our table could eat them. The vegan halloumi was so deeply fried it was full of fat and grease. Would have been nice chopped smaller and not as greasy. The cocktail i had was lovely though. My partner’s tofu wrap was equally poor with unseasoned tofu used and barely fried so it was cold. Will never eat here again. Clearly need someone cooking in the kitchen who is passionate about all food types including vegan!

Try the halloumi! - Edit
We sat upstairs- were we then in heaven above? Tasty wraps! Some of the best tasting vegan halloumi we have ever had. Friendly and efficient service.

Read moreUse "not chicken" pieces are the best that i've ever had since being vegan. Kids loved it! Cheese chips were fantastic as well.
Atmosphere is beautiful and so friendly. Also amazing vegan milkshakes!

We ate here on 10th April. Excellent food, really friendly and helpful staff. Can thoroughly recommend. We were served quickly.

Great vegan menu. Loads of great choices. The mozzarella sticks, the milkshake and the wrap were beautiful.

The staff were friendly and helpful.
The only downside is no dessert menu.but the food is really filling anyway.
Dogs are also allowed downstairs which is a major bonus.
If the app would of allowed me to give it 5 stars I would have.
Pros: Everything!
Cons: No Dessert menu, but the milkshakes are beautiful.

What Choice! - Edit
This is a very welcoming place, which is beautifully decorated with false vines and twinkling lights. A very relaxing place with atmosphere. The vegan food choices were amazing, that I felt spoilt ! I ended up having the garlic mushrooms and flatbread to start with then salt and pepper tofu and noodles for main, washed down with a Brewdog Elvis Juice, which is vegan. Totally recommend Hell Below and would give it 5 stars if I could.

Fantastic Vegan Choices - Edit
A couple of us are vegan and we were spoilt for choice. Our friend could also have her choice of meat, so we were satisfied all round. A wonderful choice of cocktails to go with it. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Really looking forward to going again. Now for their gin bar around the corner hic😂

Relaxed place with vegan menu - Edit
A full separate vegan menu with choices of pizze, burgers, wraps, salads and dishes to share as well as side orders of chips etc. I made the mistake of ordering two things from the bites & share section - they were huge! But so tasty I had to eat them all. Partner enjoyed the salad and chips. Also had alcoholic drinks and vegan milkshake. Very relaxed setting, friendly staff. The people next to us were having a vegan pizza and vegan wrap and they looked good too.

Best Vegan Place in the County! - Edit
The amount of vegan options is fantastic and completely unmatched by anyone else in Carlisle or indeed all of Cumbria! The food was great as well, the What's Your Beef burger was delicious and my wife adored her Greek salad with some of the best vegan feta we've ever had! Can't recommend it enough, would rate 5 stars if I could!

Amazing vegan options! - Edit
I used to love Hell Below but hadn't been in the three years I've been vegan. I went the other day after hearing it had good vegan options and was so pleasantly surprised! There is an entire vegan menu - as big as the meat and dairy menu. I was utterly spoilt for choice but ended up going with the BBQ 'chicken' wrap. It was amazing (if a lil bit spicy but I'm a total wimp with spice haha). I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu and I'm recommending it to everyone. (The decor is absolutely beautiful too, felt like I was in a lil floral paradise in the middle of Carlisle). The only way they could improve is by going fully vegan! Thanks so much Hell Below
