Part of a government chain of vegetarian restaurants. Serves traditional meals and desserts. Mainly vegan although they do use eggs, milk & honey rarely. Traditional Sri Lankan food. Rice and curry, hoppers, puttu, sweets, fruit juices. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-8:00pm.

A place for a vegetarian (and occasional non-vegetarian) snack

The listing information is not very accurate: the place is dirt-cheap (the cheapest in the area), and, as happens with many Hela Bojun Halas, it's not consistently vegetarian: I was served fish curry (bones and all) with pittu. However, it might be the most veg-friendly restaurant in central Anuradhapura.
