Tasty but confusing

The cafe was very busy when we went there and the staff seemed a bit confused. I asked about vegan options and the first person I talked to said there wasn’t anything vegan available that day, while the second said the blueberry muffins were vegan. They were tasty but I was left wondering if they actually were vegan or not.

It would really be nice to have clearly marked vegan items to avoid this kind of confusion, and to train the staff so they’d be up to date. No one offered us any other vegan options, such as the sandwiches mentioned here.

They did remember to use oat milk for our drinks and the chai was excellent. It would probably be a good idea to go there earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon when they’re not quite as busy.

Little sweet

A lovely café, a bit off the beaten track, but serving delicious coffee, cake and baguettes. We had an Americano and a yoghurt bowl with muesli.

Vegan hot chocolate

They had vegan hot chocolate fór kids so not as hot and mini sizes. Loved that for our kids. Their muffin and cake was also vegan. The cake was a classic Happy Marriage cake which is kind of like a granola bar but I have never been very fond of it as a kid. The blueberry muffin was good!

Best coffee in Westfjords

This was the best coffee I had in the Westfjords and maybe even Iceland. Food was delicious too. We liked the muffins and vegan mushroom toast. They have local art for sale and good vibes.

Pros: excellent coffee, tasty food, art and atmosphere

Nice cafe with vegan options

This cafe had vegan options. We stopped in for a sweet treat. The muffins and tart were vegan. The muffin wasn’t really a sweet muffin and the strawberry icing wasn’t too sweet.

Pros: Vegan baked goods, Water, WC

Charming cosy little café

A really nice cosy place to enjoy delicious sandwiches and even more delicious cupcakes. Staff knowledgeable about veganism, and can veganise the sandwiches that aren't. And it's reasonably priced for Iceland. Relaxing atmosphere. I'll definitely go back there (to satisfy my sweet tooth with more cupcakes if nothing else :D)

Pros: Tasty, and good portions, Lot of charm, Reasonably priced

Cozy Veg Cafe

The menu is limited to six vegetarian sandwiches (some vegan or can easily be made vegan) and a soup of the day (usually vegan). And the sandwiches are on some of the best sour dough bread I have tasted. Made in-house, of course.
Excellent tea and coffee, and vegan muffins too!
Fast and free wifi.
Nice atmosphere.

Pros: Cozy, Good food, Great tea

Cons: Can’t think of any

Cosy cafe

I had soup and cappuchino there. Really good. The owner knew I was vegan so she counted all the things that were vegan for me. Can trust them to know what veganism is. The place is so cosy, I could imagine sitting there for hours.

Pros: Knowledge about veganism, cosy
