Nice sandwich

The mushroom sandwich was alright, but it was the only option and it was pricey.

Limited options

I had a mushroom with vegan cheese toastie. That toastie and cakes were pretty much only vegan options. Not sure about soup. £7.90 for a toastie is a bit pricey.

Pros: Taste

Cons: Expensive

Sandwich was alright

The vegan mushroom sandwich was served with crisps and it was okay. They had vegan cheese which made me happy. But there is really only that one vegan option and £7.90 seem a little expensive.

No vegan options

While they may have had them in the past they don't anymore. Too bad.

Accommodating

We arrived at breakfast time with dreams of a vegan haggis bap and were disappointed to see that this is no longer on their menu. However we asked at the counter and they said they could do us one of their vegan mozzarella, sundried tomato, and pepper toasties which they usually only serve from 12pm.
Toastie was simple, but lovely, and really appreciated them being able to accommodate us outside of the usual menu.

Pros: Great views. Friendly.

Cons: Limited options.

Amazing food with great views

Although there’s only one breakfast and one lunch option both are some of the most delicious food I’ve found in my two weeks in Scotland. Also very handy to know about when travelling the highlands and vegan food is a bit harder to come by. You can visit the outside of the castle and eat and use the toilets without needing to buy a ticket to the castle. Just be aware that due to Covid measures you may need to queue for both.

Pros: Delicious food!

Cons: More options would be great
