Old coconut in chutney - Edit
Had high hopes for this place, but was quite disappointed. I think the coconut in the chutney had gone old because it tasted off (very alike when you crack open an old coconut). Sad because otherwise the dosa was alright, even though it didn’t taste completely authentic.
Read moreI ordered online and got it quick which was nice (though in several plastic containers which was less nice). According to the allergen info the dosa had quite clean ingredients which I appreciated.
Pros: Quick
Cons: Old coconut , Unnecessary containers

Wholesome delicious food - Edit
Great clean place to dine in and nourish yourself! Also good place to get takeaways. We shared the deliciously huge and filling king thali for £22! You can easily share it between 2 people and have leftovers. Aubergine curry was my favourite! I'm going back for the vegan tirimisu...the vegan masala chai...the vegan mango lassi...and the ambiance! The owner is super kind and friendly!

Great food big portions - Edit
Just came here before going to the cinema. They do Thalis from £9-18. We got the £13 thalis and all agreed we could’ve each had the small £9.

Tasty Indian food - 100% vegan - Edit
My lovely wife and I called in for dinner ahead of attending a performance at the nearby Pleasance Theatre. The restaurant isn't much to look at but it's well worth a visit if you're a lover of authentic Indian food. We've travelled extensively in India and know the real deal when we see it - and trust me this is it! We tried the masala dosa, the idli and the vada. All were super tasty, as were the accompanying chutneys and sambar. They also serve a range if thalis and other goodies such as chola batura. Great value too with the added bonus of being 100% vegan. What's not to like? Highly recommended.

The best dosa, ever. - Edit
Sadly I can’t report on most of the menu as I always have a masala dosa. I mean to try other things but, the dosa is so good I don’t want to miss out when I visit.
Read moreWhat makes the dosa so good? The pancake is light, crisp and HUGE. The potato filling, fluffy and well spiced. The curry sauce compliments the dosa perfectly. I remember seeing the accompanying beetroot chutney on my first visit and thinking, ‘not for me’ but it is delicious as are the coconut and coriander chutneys. Perfection.
I have had the side dishes of red pepper pakoras which are also excellent.
The restaurant has a wonderfully laidback feel and the owner is similarly calm and welcoming. A must visit place.

New street food menu! - Edit
Update Oct 2020: An extensive and great value street food menu has been added to Healthy Wealthy's ever-expanding and innovative array of options! Texture and flavour riots all round. Don't miss the moreish sweet peanut bhel puri and the chat papri for crispness alongside tangy tamarind and cooling coconut. Choices vary by day of the week so plan a couple of visits or deliveries :)
Read moreCovid note: Always a spotlessly clean restaurant, the takeaway counter now has a plastic screen to the ceiling and seating allows distancing.
Long, bright dining room with floral decorations and gentle Hare Krishna TV soundtrack. Amazing range of all-vegan homemade offerings including cakes, ice-cream and lassis as well as the more expected curries, dosas and bhajis etc. Samosas are crispy, substantial pyramids - next level delights compared with the classic triangle. Curries are mild on heat but big on flavour - happily the selection of four varies daily and may include potato, green bean and coconut, pumpkin, spinach or soya, plus a choice of daals. A selection of homemade chutneys (mango, lime pickle and tamarind) are on the table if eating in. Dosas are excellent - a welcome addition to the menu and a rare find in this town. Served with chutneys of coconut, coconut and coriander, and tomato and mint plus superior sambar. For eating in, food is served in sectioned steel trays for retro canteen charm. Note the restaurant is unlicensed but a wide range of soft drinks is available. Top neighbourhood dining!
Pros: Friendly service , Great value

Worth a visit - Edit
It can get a little pricey here considering the food available is buffet style and not freshly made but still recommended for a takeaway. The place is clean, the staff nice and the available food tasty and flavourful 👍

Delicious Thali - Edit
This was the first fully vegan Indian restaurant we have been to. Had different versions of the thali - all of the curries/dhals were delicious with just the right amount of spice for Europeans. They did give us a chili sauce to add for extra spice - it was extremely hot, so beware! The pappadoms were nice as well and I also highly recommend the fried heart-shaped potato-thing, can't remember the name but it was really tasty. The sweets also looked good but we were too full to have any. Owner was super friendly. It's great not having to worry about ghee/yogurt/cream etc. in your food, as is always the case with vegetarian Indian restaurants. Would definitely go back there!

Really tasty - Edit
We had the thali for lunch - I had medium size for £10, which is rice, 2 curries, salad, poppadum and water. The soya chunk curry was particularly nice. Nearly everything also glutenfree. Decent amount of tables for eat in as well as a lot of people taking away.

Good value thali - Edit
The thali from the counter was good value. I also really enjoyed the samosas with tamarind chutney which is homemade. And there are yummy Indian sweets as well if you have space (otherwise get some to take away!).

I was bribed - Edit
The owner bribed me to give his restaurant a 5 star rating, firstly he was welcoming then he talked to me about his food and it’s providence he then served some truly wonderful food then he topped it all off with doggie bags for the food we couldn’t stuff in us and then topped it off with a very reasonable price.... my family is one happy and stuffed vegan family tonight.

Really good rustic Indian food - Edit
It's a little cafe tucked away on Brecknock road offering rather nice, rustic Indian food.
Read moreThe samosas and papadoms with chutneys were good. There wasn't many options of Dosas unfortunately, but the the Masala Dosas were big, plenty of fillings and were yummy and very filling.
We got the chocolate cake to take away, the slice were huge but a little stale.
The portions were big and it was reasonably priced though it has a bit of a cafeteria style atmosphere.
Pros: good value for money, big portions
Cons: could use more dishes, especially dosa options, bit of a cafeteria style feel
