Tasty food - Edit

I live in an area with lots of south Indian and Sri Lankan food, but none of those restaurants are completely vegan.

This restaurant has tasty food and the owner is really nice too. I like their rotating menu, it means their food is fresh. I particularly liked their black lentil dal!

I had the medium thali for £8, which means I could try more of the menu (you get small servings of the different curries). I also had their home made ice cream, which is a rare treat in London. The ice cream could have been creamier but then again, I love ridiculously creamy ice cream. I bought a slice of their massive chocolate cake which great, and so big I couldn't eat it in one sitting!

Came here after visiting The Third Estate, which is a vegan clothes shop down the road and also worth checking out. Would definitely recommend HealthyWealthy (never got a chance to ask the owner about the odd name!)

Pros: Entirely vegan, Decent priced food, Relatively healthy

Fabulous and healthy Indian food - Edit

Great Indian food served healthy and tasty. The staff is very friendly and the menu is wonderful, as you find options (main course and sweets) that differ from the usual Indian restaurants. Highly recommend!

Pros: Vegan! Vegan! Vegan!

Yummy Indian Food - Edit

Visited for lunch, and had the Medium Thali (2 curries + rice + salad) together with an aubergine pakora and a naan.
We also had a dessert made from chickpea flour; and lassis.

The food was great, particularly the dessert.
Portion sizes were good, and prices were very fair.

The service was friendly, the staff was eager to explain each of their dishes.

It's a bit out of the way; but if you couple it with The Third State and the health store (Bumblebee) nearby it might be worth the small detour; especially considering this is the only fully vegan indian restaurant in London.

Pros: good choice, good value, friendly staff

Cons: none

Found Metal in our food - Edit

The third time we have visited this restaurant and we have always liked the food - but this time we found a huge, round piece of metal in our food. Totally bizarre and we can't tell what it was (looked like an over-sized bullet). Took it back to raise it with management and nothing was done about it. Really disappointing after two good first experiences.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: METAL IN FOOD

Very nice lunch stop - Edit

I had a medium sized thali for lunch. I chose three dishes of beans and curries, together with a salad. All was delicious and well presented. I also drank a vegan mango lassi which was great on a hot day.
I wasn't hungry enough for a dessert but bought some sweets to take away.
Very pleasant and friendly atmosphere and service.

Pros: Good to find a vegan Indian restaurant, Variety of dishes, Welcoming atmosphere

Avoid at all costs!!! - Edit

For sure, the worst meal I have EVER HAD! Tiny portions of either totally bland and tasteless or overpowered by mismatched spices bits of boring veg such as potatoes with funny consistency rice, served from tiny metal containers. Everything not even luke warm. Unappetising and boring. Six hours later, overpowered by severe heartburn, I'm belching with fumes of cumin! Totally empty place with no ambiance. The waiter lazy and forgot our drinks order, even though we were the only customers! All this for almost £10 a head! Had better meals from charity street kitchens! To be avoided at all costs! As a minimum of 2 stars allowed no choice but would give it zero if possible.

Pros: No meat. So good for vegetarians, Empty so good if you want peace and quiet, A large empty room so good for dancing

Cons: Cold food, Tasteless or overpowered by spices, Tiny portions

Lovely place - Edit

We went for a quick dinner last night and I was happily surprised over the quality and portion. The manager was lovely and took time to have a chat with us. He told us that all the leftover food goes to poor/homeless people. Would very much recommend if you're in the area!

Pros: Large portion, Tasty food, Lovely manager

Cons: Quiet as we were there just before closing
