Weird but good - Edit

Had a seaweed salad here and it was basically carrot, rice noodles, herbs and popcorn with sheets of seaweed to wrap it up in. Was tasty but a bit random.

Pros: Nice clean restaurant, Groceries too

Cons: Limited menu

Great concept and fun! - Edit

We loved that we could basically grocery shop for our own meal and have it cooked in front of us. Taste was average, you definitely need to add sauces to give it some more flavour. The staff could have been a bit more helpful and friendly. There was so much more that they could have sold to us & it wasn't until we started reading about the place that we realised there was so much more to choose from. The vegan egg was great and tasted just like the real thing!

Pros: Choose all your own ingredients and watch them coo, Healthy, Huge range or groceries for someone with kitchen a

Cons: Staff looked depressed and weren't very helpfu

Solid option! - Edit

Food taste really good. Not mind-blowing, but a solid option in a city with lots of street food that our American stomachs can't always handle. Some reviews complain of wasted plastic and bland flavors...both are true. You have to add extra seasoning yourself. And yes, everything taste the same, but we love being able to choose what goes in our meal and we love getting a huge variety of veggies too. Have gone back and will go back again.

Oh, and the ice cream was disappointing, but if you want a vegan frozen treat, at least it's an option here.

Pros: Huge variety of vegetables , Clean and fresh, All vegan

Cons: Wastes plastic , Flavors a little bland, No soap in toilet

good food, but they forgot about environment... - Edit

Very tasty food, but use very much plastics to pack all vegetables... and use the microwave to heat etc spring rolls.. would comeback again for pasta vegetable soup.

Packaged, Processed, Overpriced - Edit

The service here reflects the bland, uninspiring, overpriced meals. If you're able to stretch your legs a little, far better fare can be found outside the bounds of the backpacker enclave.

Pros: open till late

Cons: plastic food , overpriced , poor service

Great concept - Edit

Healthy Farm is a bright, modern noodle bar and vegan grocery. They have a good variety of vegetables, noodles and vegan meats to choose from, even a vegan egg- just check the prices, as individual items cost between 6-20,000. Also, there's vegan soft serve. Good choice!

What a brilliant find 😍 - Edit

Such a lovely place all so fresh and delicious, maybe select 2 packs of noodles if you're really starving as they're a little small portion size. Also a frozen section at the back!!

Pros: English speaking & super helpful, Fresh ingredients that they spritz regularly , Delicious & great value

Cons: Not a huge selection of drinks

Amazing noodles - Edit

I went to Healthy Farm four times in three days it was that good.

Cool concept. You pick a basket and choose from a variety of fresh veggies, mock meats and noodles. They make it for you in under 10 minutes and it is the best noodles I have had in Vietnam as a vegan. They even have a shop out the back with a huge selection of vegan and vegetarian products.

They also had vegan icecream although there were only two flavours.

Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Friendly staff

Cons: ---

Yummy but expensive - Edit

Here you can pick and choose noodles, veggies and fake meat for your dish. You put all in a basket, pay per item and they stir-fry it. Taste was really good but can get a bit expensive if one is not careful.

Pros: Taste was great

Cons: Expensive

Not too bad for a quick feed - Edit

I have been here a few times now and the food is pretty good and cooked fresh. It is set up similar to that of Subway: Select your greens, other veggies, mock meats and then they cook it fresh for you, there doesn't seem to be any variety of dishes and flavours no matter what ingredients you select; it comes to you basically the same as your last order.

The have a soy soft serve machine here and tastes pretty nice.

Pros: Quick and easy, Relatively cheap

Cons: all ingredients are wrapped in wasteful plastic pa, not a huge variety of flavours/dishes

Only one flavour and lots of disposable packaging - Edit

This place sounds like a good idea, but for me it really doesn't follow through well. There is a lot of wasteful packaging because many of the ingredients for selection are packaged in individual portions. I also made the mistake of selecting some packaged (refrigerated) spring rolls, which were microwaved and arrived both half-cooked and soggy. Cups are all disposable plastic. While the idea of the food being freshly prepared is appealing, it seems that it will always end up with the same flavour, as your ingredients are stir-fried and served with a standard broth. The price adds up as you select enough ingredients to make up a meal, and staff will be encouraging you to select that one more item. That's not to say the meal tastes bad. It is fine, if by no means cheap. Of necessity I came here two days in a row and felt like never coming again.

Pros: Freshly cooked

Cons: Wasteful overpackaging, No flavour variety, Terribly prepared spring rolls

Great effort, poor-ish execution - Edit

The concept of the store is great, and the store in the back has an incredible selection of faux meats AND they have vegan soft serve ice cream...
BUT
I must say after the initial excitement of trying an actual Vegan place out, I was a bit disappointed. After being convinced to take the most expensive noodles as they are supposedly best, I was surprised at the size of the dish I got in the end, and I took double noodles!! I like to eat a big bowl of noodles, especially if it tastes good and is filled with veggies, but this wasn't even close enough to being full. So very small portions and it cost around 80k VND for one bowl! :( Just noodles and veggies! no tofu or any faux meat. so yeah not so keen on that.
And the soft serve ice cream sounds great but it comes out in the most unnatural colors and tastes just like sweet soy milk... I guess great for kids but nothing special.
All in all you are not missing out if you don't go.

Pros: Close to Bui Vien for backpackers

Cons: Expensive, Small portions, not that great

Great service, delicious food. - Edit

We enjoyed Healthy Farm.
The concept is very neat and the staff are super helpful. It was nice to be able to visit a completely vegan establishment knowing that we could order anything.
Although mostly flavourless, the ice cream is a good treat for the end of the meal.

They also have a shopping area towards the back, where you can purchase vegan items to take home and cook for yourself.

Pros: all vegan and delicious

Cons: We didn't get many ingredients each, but we still

Amazing stuff - Edit

I really liked the concept of the restaurant even though It meant I took 1 of everything and ate a pretty expensive dinner. If you don't splurge you will probably get away cheaper. Staff was super helpful and they have a nice store as well.

Pros: Chose what you want in the pho. The huge selection

Cons: No explanation for what some of the mock meats wer

Fantastic concept and food! - Edit

This place rocks.
When you enter, you are greeted by a waitress who explains what to do.
1) Select your greens. I think it was 10,000 each.
2) Select your noodles. (10,000-30,000)
3) Select your extras. (range of prices)
4) Pay. They will cook it all into a pho-style soup/noodle dish.

The food was great, and the whole vibe was great.

Great concept, ok execution - Edit

Our family ate at this funky little restaurant yesterday. I was touched, moved and inspired by the theme and create my own restaurant based on the concepts here.

The actual food of Healthy Farm is like the food in the rest of Vietnam, full of MSG. Also, the servings are quite small for the price you pay. The ice cream was also tasteless.

Yet, I still give it a 4 Cow Rating for its unique concept and non terrible food.

Pros: Concept of Restraurant is inspiring, People are sweet and know English well

Cons: MSG in Soup, Small portions

Yummy Farm - Edit

I went a few times when in HCMC. Basically you choose your noodles, veg and 'meat' (heaps of options!!) and they cook it for you. The ice cream is also a great way to finish the meal. Highly recommend a visit!
