Great deli and local vegan macadamia nut cheese cheese

This place is a gem in Waimea! Friendly staff and owner, delicious deli with tons of vegan options, and they carry 100% local organic vegan macadamia nut cream cheese by Edible Peace! So many vegan products to choose from and lots of tasty rarities.

Great option for vegan groceries

Nice find in Waimea for groceries. The staff was extremely friendly. We didn’t see the name Healthways on the outside of the store. It says Natural Foods.

Good selection of vegan groceries

A good selection of vegan groceries in a small footprint! A great option for groceries to save a trip to Kona. Deli also has a variety of vegan options.

Best bet within Waimea town

There are not too many options in Waimea town unfortunately, so getting something here is probably the best.

The Tofu Pesto wrap is vegan and good with plenty of sprouts (^^). The black bean soup I had was good, too, (not oily😉 The breakfast burrito was simple reflecting its price, but not bad ;)

There are now outside seating, too :)

Pros: friendly atmosphere, organic produce, good options

Cons: bit pricey, wished more vegan, some plastic packaging

Glad to find their prepared foods

We were disappointed at the lack of vegan options at the Lilikoi Café nearby and were grateful to find an abundant prepared foods department at the local natural foods store. We enjoyed a freshly made wrap and a salad from the refrigerated case. It’s a good place to stop for a fast, healthful meal.

Cons: Seating is inside the store

good idea, bad food

I was so happy to see a vegetarian store, with a restaurant, in Waimea (across the road from my hotel). I had food there on two days. Both times the soup was simply awful. The ingredients sounded great, but they were both really oily. I missed the tofu breakfast burrito on the first day, so I arrived early the next day for what sounded great. But, the breakfast tofu burrito left me with an awful, lingering, bad taste and upset stomach. Nothing I had there was good. I don't think I'm that picky. If you want good veggie food in Waimea, go up the street a mile to Tako Taco.

I was so disappointed. Such a great idea, such good sounding foods, but so terribly made.

Pros: nice people

Cons: bad food, lingering queasy feeling
