Clearly changed owners PRIOR to pandemic. Had very fair prices for health food store, a few things well below supermarkets. Plus a 10% Senior Discount DAILY on non-sale items really made it doable. Suddenly over a couple months, prices overall rose significantly. Then, pandemic hit and immediately Senior Discount eliminated. Now I go every few weeks for a couple items I can't get unless I go over the bridge. Very sad.

at the grocery store you can avoid the death section, not at health nut. many items near the produce in a separate vegan case, veggie sausage and tofu pups next to bleeding flesh packages. some vegan cheese in the dairy case, good prices on tempeh and bulk but the layout leaves alot to be desired. larger flesh and dairy section that several area "health" food stores.

Good selection of organic fruit and veggies without going all the way into the village. Also stocked up on edible seeds. Wish they had some western medicine supplements like B12. Cereal section looked good. Also many bulk bin healthy items.

Local grocery stores are disappointing when it comes to vegan staples, but Health & Nutrition readily fills in the gaps. Staff are super helpful and are able to help me find anything I need! I’m usually able to find the items I need, and the prices are fair. The only thing that seems to be sold out a lot is nutritional yeast, but they do carry large bags for $10, and it’s enough for a few months.

We moved to the area in August and have been disappointed by the lack of selection at the large grocery stores 😣 Finding this place was a welcome change to that - each time we go, we find something new to try!! I think grocery shopping should be an adventure, so I really appreciate that!!!

New Paltz has the best health food store in the area if you want gorgeous organic produce and great prices. There are other big stores with much higher prices but these prices (including their deep sale discounts) often beat online prices. So you can also take advantage of the frequent shopper cash rewards. Well staffed and they are extremely friendly and knowledgable, especially in the well-stocked supplement aisle. Love this place. Plenty of free parking. Been coming for the last 20 years. Newly remodeled. Nice job! Oh... and great fresh daily soups and now... bulk local organic greens. Delicious!
