On saturdays, the diner actually only opens at 10am... well is supposed to. We waited for 40 minutes, but the waiter never arrived. The poor cook was here though, and he was very helpful.

Beyond burger! - Edit
If you cannot get beyond burger where you live (like me!), this is a great place to go. It looks nice, has good music, the staff is friendly and the food is quite good. And it's just next to the train station.

The "Last Vegan" burger is not one of those "least effort" Beyond Meat burgers that quite a few burger joints serve. There is some work put into it... but it's not much to write home about.

Travellers looking for a quick bite may be better off with nearby vegetable noodles or falafel.

Handy American diner - Edit
The classic "American diner" style, and right next to Gare de l'Est - handy! They've two veggie burgers: one is a vegan one based on beyond burger, but I had the other ("Carmine") - a veggie burger, delicious and very fresh. Aubergine-based, with great mozarella and basil flavours accompanying it. The fries and trad French lemonade were great too. I'm not sure they do much veggie food aside from the burgers, but they're good.

The staff wasn't very friendly. The last vegan burger was okay but not something that I'd like to buy again. Do not recommend if you are not really really hungry..

Nice place to grab a burger before getting on the train at gare de l'est. Does take-away. The only vegan option was a burger with a soy-based patty, which was surprisingly tasty. There's a vegan milkshake, too, but I didn't try it.
