The best place for breakfast and brunch in Stirling - Edit
I have been here a few times before and after the recent refurbishment and I absolutely love it!
Read moreThe menu has changed a little bit and sadly the amazing menemen is gone! But the options that remain are delicious!
The coffee here is also amazing and I have to have two every time I go in for food!

Great wee find! - Edit
Lovely wee cafe with a lovely friendly owner. We sat outside but inside the cafe looked fresh, clean and comfortable. The food was beautiful, we both had the special which was absolutely delicious. So colourful, full of flavour and healthy, I hope it's a regular on the menu because if I'm ever back in Stirling I'll be back for more. We both had black coffee but there is a variety of plant based milk on offer. Nice selection of cakes though we didn't have any, I did take some ombar chocolate buttons home with me though. Great wee surprise finding this place and I'll defy be back if I'm out that way again!

Delicious - Edit
Had a lovely brunch here and thoroughly recommend the sourdough toast with avocado, cream 'cheese' mint and pomegranate - lush. The sourdough with avocado and Herby mushrooms was lovely too. A lot of nice vegan options and will definitely go back.

Best coffee in Stirling. Always a couple of vegan cake options, as well as soup and sandwiches. Nice staff. Slightly more expensive than other cafes but worth it.

Breakfast in Stirling - Edit
I was in Stirling yesterday and dropped into HBW for some breakfast, a couple of tasty rolls a pastry and two excellent Expresso's later I went on my merry full and happy. The owner apologise for being short staffed that day and I might have a little while to wait before getting, my order, this was not a problem as the atmosphere waS good and the large windows are great for people watching, then my rolls were ready. As it was the short wait was not a problem I enjoyed my visit, it won't be my last.

milks free but only if you're drinking cows milk?!?!?! - Edit
I recently visited HBW coffee for the first time. I was initially excited to see what looked like a 100% vegan café in Stirling - turns out the menu is 95% vegan but they offer cows milk and a range of pastries that contain animal ingredients. One thing that really irritated me was that they charge 20p extra for all their plant milks, including soya. Apparently according to the owner, plant milk is 3 times more expensive than cows milk - now I don't own a café myself but as a general consumer last time I checked my own supermarket plant milks were marginally more expensive but certainly not 3 times more expensive. When I pointed out that such a policy wasn't exactly the most welcoming to vegans, the owner proceeded to tell me that despite 95% of their menu comprising of vegan items, they are not a plant-based café?!? I couldn't help but think I was chatting to a businessman who was happy to take money from vegans but didn't really understand the market.
Read moreTo add salt into the wounds the coffee when it arrived was about the size of a tea cup. Yeah I know its single origin, but do you know what, you're already charging premium coffee prices without the extra charge for the thimble of plant milk.
It's a small thing but we'll not be back. I'd rather give my money to cafes that appreciate their vegan customers instead of penalising them.
Cons: charge extra for plant milk, don't appear to understand the vegan market, expensive for very average food

So glad I found this place! - Edit
Really friendly staff, and a nice bright space. Was tempted by the vegan croissant and cakes, but settled for a haggis & bacon roll and a pot of tea. The roll was delicious and the pot of tea huge, I got 4 cups out of it and it was only £2! They've got minor figures oat milk and cold coffees, kombucha, and fritz kola too. All the hot food it vegan, it's just a few cakes that are gf and not vegan. It's also doggy friendly!
