Upscale with good vibes - Edit
White napkins, live music, and table cloths are the first impressions of this place when walking in the door.
Read moreIt's a bit upscale, but I came here from hiking Acadia all day and I wasn't turned away in my hiking clothes.
I was seated right away, but reservations are recommended!
There are a handful of vegan options between drinks and food. There is a soup that can be made vegan with no croutons, a salad, a vegan paella, and a vegan berza dish.
I chose the vegan paella and I got a mocktail. They served bread with hummus and olive oil right away and the chef gave us a couple of veggies with mustard. It was beautiful and tasted very fresh and nice.
The vegan paella was perfect! It had a crispy top and lots of vegetables to make up for not having sea food. It comes with cilantro sprinkled on top so if you don't like cilantro let them know.
The mocktail was delicious. It had a cinnamon flavor that seemed like it would be delicious to have around a campfire on a cold and rainy night. It was perfect and something new the bartender had added to the menu.
For dessert I got the honeydew basil sorbet. That was mind blowing. The basil is the strongest flavor, but it paired really nicely with the honeydew. It was the right amount of sweetness and I loved the herbal overtone.
Definitely check this place out! Get a reservation and get in here when you are in town.
Pros: Upscale vegan options, Mocktails available, Live music
Cons: Parking is hard to find

Upscale and casual - Edit
The menu is simple and sounds delicious.
Read moreThe vegan options are clearly marked and the wait staff are aware of what is and isn't vegan as well.
After hiking all day in Acadia it was nice to have a protein filled meal and relax with a cocktail.
They started us off with bread and black bean hummus. It was divine.
I ordered the pisco sour (without egg white they added pineapple juice to replicate the froth). Skilled bartender!
I had the Berza Rellena. It was smokey and delicious! It's light and healthy with a creamy sauce.
I would definitely order this meal again.
I highly recommend Havana for vegan food with a Latin flair.

Great atmosphere and vegan dinner - Edit
Very nice upscale restaurant with excellent and attentive service. Could have more vegan options but what was had was delicious. Spring rolls were very good. Vegan paella was enormous portion. Substituted fish and meat with vegan chorizo and veggies. Quite tasty. Only negative was price reduction from $49 only to $38. Other vegan option was Reza Rellena. Cabbage stuffed with Chorizo, beans, and veggies.

Great atmosphere & adding to vegan options - Edit
Food is delicious! The staff was very knowledgeable, although only a few vegan options it is definitely worth the visit. Vegan appetizers included gazpacho & salads. Cauliflower steak entree was very flavorful and well prepared. They had a few vegan desserts, the chocolate cake was great. There were also many vegan wines available.

Vegan Creme Brulee! - Edit
I was so excited to hear that this restaurant has vegan paella that I had to go. I started with a cup. of gazpacho made with roasted tomatillos. A unique and tasty twist on a classic. Then the vegan paella! The portions were large. I should have taken half of my meal home. But it was so delicious that I ate it all. Then, the waitress announced that for dessert they have a mango creme brulee made with coconut milk that is vegan and gluten free. I was too full for dessert. But my friend ordered it and I had a taste. Again, delicious! Highly recommend Havana restaurant. They only have a few vegan options, but they are worth it.

Mostly meat - Edit
It was yummy, and expensive. Also, prepare to get something afterwards to supplement the light vegan offerings.
Read moreWe had a really nice time, staff was wonderful, it was a very nice fine dining experience. The vegan items are delicious, and thoughtful, but we left hungry.

Parrilla - Edit
Ate at Parrilla which is part of Havana but outdoor and a different menu. Had the vegan tacos which were pretty good and filling. Quite expensive for tacos, but seems everything in Bar Harbor is a little pricy.

Group favorite - Edit
Visited this restaurant as the only vegan within the group of 8. Had the vegan paella that included a variety of vegetables and was delicious. We all thought it was a great find. The staff was helpful and social even though we were the last customers late in the evening. There were some dishes that could have conceivably been offered with vegan options that weren’t; hope they expand their options.

Cons: Limited vegan options
