Former vegetarian restaurant turned vegan July 2020. Open for lunch. Menu includes burritos, nachos, salads, baked potatoes and a changing dish of the day. Very crowded at around 1 pm, it is best to go between 2 pm and 3 pm. Reported closed January 2024.

Great place with limited opening hours - Edit
Due to the fact that it's only open for lunch and not really close to anywhere I usually go to, I haven't been there as often as I would have wanted to. If you need a place that's open for dinner, go to Kombüse, the sister restaurant in Mannheim. However, if you have time during Hausboot's opening hours, definitely go there! It's a great place with really good food (that might run out at the end of the week, because it's very popular!), very affordable prices, and nice staff.
Read moreUpdate: They started out vegetarian, but apparently turned fully vegan! They also offer vegan breakfast once a month, when there is a flea market happening in the same building. The breakfast menu has 5 different items, and they are all amazing and very affordable!

Super nettes Team, coole Location und fantastisch gutes Essen. Zudem gibt es jeden Tag ein wechselndes Tagesgericht. Preise sind top. Leider schaffe ich es durch die Öffnungszeiten nicht so oft wie ich es gerne möchte dorthin.

Read moreThey have regional dishes but also things like mexican, asian, fusion dishes. No fuss, just yummy. I always have to control myself not just to gobble everything up.
BEWARE their kitchen opens from 12~15:00 AND often times the lunch menu is already gone by 14:00, because it is just THAT yummy. So get there early.

The entire menu is DELICIOUS and EVERY single thing is available vegan. Their daily menu is always vegan.
They use regional food as much as they can and i don't know how anyone can make ONLY yummy food, but they do.
Their prices are good, too, you can get filling meals from 4€. Everything is well composed and a special treat, but still down to earth.
It's easy to get there, too. There are several stops to get off from and then it's just like 150m or something. There is also a cool museum with a citizen-owned garden nearby, if you want to make it a whole trip.
Pros: regional, healthy, perfect taste, good prices and sizes, everything can be ordered vegan!!
Cons: opening hours too short :(
