Even my omni hubby was happy with the selection. There was so much choice for vegans, and that was even without me looking at the cold salad bar. So many delicious curries, I had 3 with some rosti, spelt potatoes, and broccoli. Loved every bite. Then vegan tiramisu, mango mousse and some mango pieces for dessert. Yum!

All vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Food was fantastic! I got the mushroom starter and the plant steak. It is the second best vegan steak that I ever had (first place=The Botanist in Zadar). Service and atmosphere were great. Seemed a little pricy, but we just flew in from a long trip in cheaper climate (Albania/Turkey), so I may just be over-sensitive. Truly an outstanding experience overall!

We started with the yummy pumpkin coconut soup and the delicious Korean BBQ cauliflower. My husband had the Madras Banana and absolutely loved it and I loved the green Thai curry. Everything on the menu is either vegetarian or vegan. If you want it vegan just ask and they’ll try to make it vegan. You can have food from their buffet or order a la carte. I ordered their vegan HIlTL Burger. It was wonderful!

Every dish selected (except the rösti oddly enough) was flavourful and yummy. The best dishes imo were the Asian ones. The cream in the vegan dessert lacked flavor too, but overall, the food was pretty high quality for a buffet.

It’s a good buffet, same as Tibits, with many vegan and delicious options. There are many vegetarian options with dairy and eggs, so be careful to watch and confirm the labels. I would give 5 if it was all vegan.

, J'y vais depuis plus de 30 ans. Je connaissait déjà les parents qui nous servaient. Toujours un service excellent, des plats diversifiés et frais. Ensuite 2 fois agrandissement et rénovation pour le meilleur. Le fils a repris. Je le voyais servir avec sa femme, une française je pense, et ensuite s'occuper de sa famille grandissante. Aujourd'hui un local adapté à la jeunesse et au goût dune communauté de tout âges et provenance. Et ont suivit les Tibits, on peut dire une join venture entre deux famille. Chez Tibits 80% végétale, donc végétarien et vegan.

I learned of Hiltl and the long rich legacy over 12 years ago and tonight was my opportunity to indulge and visit this amazing restaurant. I was not that hungry but I wanted to sample the huge number of vegan options in the buffet. I ate until I felt like I was going to pop. My family loved the food too. I was mindful of how many famous vegans/vegetarians must have dined at this historic establishment. I’m glad to have experienced it. It was very expensive but for a once in a lifetime experience it was worth it. Make sure you make reservations- it’s extremely busy for good reason

ordered the grilled planted steak and the plate was 80% fries plus the steak itself was too salty and dry, tried some of the dishes my family ordered and they were good but still left disappointed after paying so much for it (though I guess that's a normal price in the city)

Came here for the breakfast/brunch. Loads of vegan choices and some great options that you don’t often get. A little expensive for a tourist but normal prices for the area. It’s a large restaurant with lots of seating, the interior is stylishly done and it had a nice atmosphere.

Just wish they had more breakfast options like sandwiches, bagels, etc. Also would love for the restaurant to have adhered to 100% plant based by now. The food is so awesome! And there are clear labels to indicate which food is vegan, and the vegan choices are aplenty! On a side note, I think the food is on the pricier side than the one at Tibits. But overall, I enjoyed relishing the vegan meal and even went twice in a day.

HILTL has very large selection of food and while most of the food seems to be targeted to meat eaters instead of to vegetarians, simple amount of options is so large once can always find something to nice to eat. I do wish half of the fried options would be changed to something more healthy and that they would make the price more reasonable thou or at least bring back all you can eat option price gap they used to have before.

Loved the food and service here. Visiting from the US and I really wanted some vegan versions of some traditional foods. Hiltl had the perfect menu with tons of choices and an extensive buffet. Our waiter was fun and friendly, too. A great experience!
