Shabazi 1 (at Even Sapir), Jerusalem, Israel

Vegetarian cafe in the Nahlaot neighborhood; is also a music venue and a community center for the locals. Since Jan 2013 the menu became all vegan except dairy milk option for hot drinks. Offering breakfasts (shakshuka with artichoke, porridge made with coconut milk, frittatas on Friday), salads, sandwiches, a fusion of Israeli and Asian influenced hot meals, vegan muffins and desserts. Reported closed/shut down Dec 2013.

Lovely place in Nachlaot - Edit

Very small, but cozy, quite cafe, which has a very good vibe. Not pretending, friendly and tasty. My favorites are madjadara (rice with lentils, raisins and nuts) and chai der masala (which they can make with soy milk). Sometimes they have movies screening (putting a shit on a wall of a building infront) or small concerts.

home stile place, the kind of place where they collected all the granny's old plats, chairs and pots and made a restorant.
real nice food the "memolaim" where really good. down stairs there is an old "slik" (a basement where they kept weapons before 48')and sometimes they have a local radio show hosting in there. very nice place to go.
