Poor experience

The menu says that their kids chicken nuggets are vegan but they are actually vegetarian because egg is used. I can’t trust what they have on the menu is really vegan. If you go just double check that it’s actually vegan.

Pros: The service was great , Drinks were well made

Cons: Not everything is as it says it is, Expensive , Small portion sizes

Great food and great service

With the limited amount of vegan options in the area (unless you wanna munch on salads and fries), I was not expecting such an array of options. Also, it‘s not only the typical ”let’s throw a few veggies together & see what happens“ options either, there‘s quiet a few vegan versions of classics with a healthy spin to them. Contrary to earlier comments, dietary restrictions and/or allergies was one of the first things our server asked about; she even pointed out some of the more „hidden“ vegan items in the menu just to make sure I was aware of all my options. We also truly enjoyed the atmosphere, the food tasted incredibly good and our server was a true delight.

Vegan Options

Harvest has a decent amount of vegan options and the food is very good. The downside is that the price is high and the portions are not very large. I also find that staff screw up my order almost every time I go there. Or they are generally a bit confused about what is actually vegan. In a town with very few vegan options I still go there despite the downsides and continue to recommend the place to others.

Huh! Last few times I was there, they had a separate vegan menu upon request. I hope they aren't slipping. We have always had great experiences there..

Amazing food great atmosphere

We started off with mocktails at the bar. We got the blackberry refresher. Our appetizer was Kung pao cauliflower "wings" and for dinner we had the lemon pesto kale rigatoni thing. Goodness. It was fantastic. They had a cute little coconut pineapple dessert thinger. Our server was happy to provide us with the special vegan menu and offered suggestions. Truth be told I already had my eye on the rigatoni before she pointed it out but I was happy to know I had made a winning choice. We have a new favorite restaurant for special occasions. Well worth the drive!

Many vegan options

Not only is there a dedicated section of the menu that is 100% vegan, many of the "regular" menu items are also labeled vegan. Some of those dishes have optional protein add-ons, although they are nutritionally complete without the add - great to see a restaurant with multiple bean and legume ingredients!. Tofu is one of the options. A good percentage of the appetizers are also vegan. Many vegan dishes are also gluten-free. They offer both an Impossible burger and a house made vegan burger that is most and flavorful - both on vegan potato rolls. There are more good choices here than most vegan restaurants that I have seen. This is a great choice when dining with omnivores.

Pros: Large variety of vegan options, Farm to table, Reasonably priced for quality

Not a great recommendation

PROS: Fairly nice atmosphere as long as you like dark spaces.
CONS: Almost everyone at my table had something wrong with their dish. The odd combos, undercooked or overcooked food at this price isn't worth it. One dish had to be sent back and remade entirely and they acted as if we had done something wrong. The problem seems to be the kitchen and management here. Server was fine although many appear to be a bit young and inexperienced for a restaurant of this type. Lastly, if you are a vegetarian, the selections are a bit wanting. The salads are a boring, dressings are few, and entrees sound great but when you taste them - you're let down.

Pros: atmosphere

Cons: food, customer care, management

Farm to Table

When our first two choices were unavailable, we ended up here on a Friday night on our way through Harrisburg, but it should have been our first choice. This place was busy but they took the time to get it right. They noted our dietary preferences and allergies and delivered meals that were perfect for us. Our hummus appetizer was spot on, and my boyfriend loved his vegan tacos. A very happy dining experience!

Pros: Dedicated vegan menu options, Farm to table fresh, Very careful about food allergies

Cons: Tucked in the corner of an out-of-the-way mall

So-so

I was hoping to go the the Vegetable Hunter, but they had limited hours on Mondays, so we ended up here. I ordered the vegan Eggplant Parmesan and a side harvest salad. The salad was fine, the eggplant Parmesan was just ok. I mostly just tasted the oil they cooked it with, and I don’t use oil when cooking. Also, it didn’t have much flavor, some kind of spices would have be nice.

Menu changes seasonally- offers many vegan and some plant based choices

They switched to their Fall menu when we were there this trip. Waitress told us the owner recently went vegan and then said “it’s very trendy right now”. I got a kick out of that. Honestly, it’s a pleasure to be able to order quality food in a quality and consciously aware restaurant where I can eat off a menu with my friends and family who are trying to eat more conscious just not plant based (yet). The menu tells when an entree is over 500 calories.
They are very vegan aware and sensitive. Asked me if I was an ethical vegan as their new cauliflower wings (not King Pau anymore) uses honey. They then leave that out but it is a very different recipe - not recommended. They have an Impossible meatloaf and a hand formed HUGE burger which they recommend medium rare or rare. My husband ordered it and it was crazy to see, now sorry I didn’t take a photo. Vegan chili with “Chorizo”; steak (mushrooms), onions, peppers, and “mozzarella” cheese sub; a couple of bowls; etc. Typical transitional vegan entrees- not what I would call plant based but there are a couple of choices more plant based than vegan. It’s kind of an oxymoron for vegans to eat opposite someone eating chicken so it’s really a transitional style menu. I do not know if their grill is separate from their grill for animal products.

Pros: Lots of transitional vegan options, Calorie conscious menu, Wait service is educated and attentive

Cons: Absolutely none - just go and enjoy

Whole vegan menu, really knowledgable staff

Went here with my nonvegan mother and sister and everyone loved it! They have a whole separate vegan menu to eliminate any mystery or attempt at necessary substitutions. Staff was so great and helpful through the whole meal. My family even ended up ordering from the vegan menu and we all enjoyed it. The restaurant changes seasonally to keep sourcing their food locally so I would definitely come back to see what they do in the next season!

Poor Service, Tasteless Food

My family has come here a few times because they have a full vegan menu, but the place has just been getting worse and worse. It took over an hour to get our appetizers, even though the place was half empty on a Saturday night.

I got the vegan noodle bowl and my brother got the shrimp noodle bowl. His came with sauce... mine came with ZERO flavor, barely any salt. And it was $17. Even worse, I asked my waitress for sauce and she quite literally told me, "Yeah... we try to keep it pretty bland." A really, really poor experience.

Pros: Vegan menu, Professional and polite staff

Cons: Bland food, Slow service, Desperately overpriced

On a mission to prove vegan food has to be bland

We ordered off of the vegan menu and the first course came with butter on the Avo toast.

Her Ramen came with an Egg and was an appetizer size.

My “spiced” potatoes came with zero seasoning at all and the “Jerk Spiced” Salad had zero dressing and no Jerk Seasoning (or any seasoning for that matter).

I’ve been a veg head for long enough to know when a chef is trying to send a message and I read it loud and clear.

Won’t be back and recommend you use your time In A wiser fashion. Such as driving to the healthy grocer who is awesome.

Pros: They comped my meal.

Cons: No substitutions for Veganized items , No regard for food allergies , Long wait for courses

Ouch! I see you visited the Harrisburg location today during the first day of Lancaster Vegan Restaurant Week, one day after they had a killer performance at Lancaster's Vegan HarvestFest.
Their menu looks like it has a lot of vegan options but if I visit this restaurant, I'll try the Lancaster location.

convenient surprise

Farm to table right off of 322 with a separate vegan menu. Had to try it! Food was healthy, fresh, and beautiful! Menu changes seasonally. Favorite was the Thai lettuce wraps! Even had choice of three vegan desserts! We will go back!

Back again 10/18. Love the vegan menu and the creative flavors. Some of our food was undercooked (lentils n grains, which really should NOT be crunchy or raw), but the rest was yummy and the dessert and kind waitress made everything alright! We will be back :)
