You could buy the food and sit outside in the yard at the front of the shopping plaza. This store had previously operated as Papaya Health Foods (prior to summer 2011).

We ordered a couple of smoothies here. They were good but pretty expensive. Actually in general the store was expensive for everything that was half the price in Kapaa. I guess they're raking in on the tourists visiting Hanalei!

Very glad this market is hear in my favorite island town. Prices are up, but prices are always up on an island. Small, but has enough. I can get most I need for my rental stay here.

We stopped by Harvest Market for lunch after a swim at Tunnels. The food was surprisingly flavorful and really hit the spot with a decent number of vegetarian and vegan options. The salad and hot bar are in the back of the store and are pay by weight. It may be more expensive than what you're used to back home but we found the price to be typical for Kauai. There's also a small juice bar in the store with the most amazing smoothies we've ever had. There was a bit of wait as they made our smoothies but oh so worth it!
The store itself is located in a small but pleasant shopping plaza with a shared outdoor area with tables and chairs for dining. We didn't do any grocery shopping but it seemed to be pretty well stocked with the usual health store brands.
Pros: the best smoothies, decent cold/hot bar

The only real health food store in Hanalei. They have everything in stock for vegans. There are salad bars and cooked food options for lunch. The brocolli soup is delicious.Some local fruits are sold. Stuff id very nice.

We made a lunch from here. They have numerous vegan options - potato salads, hummus, soups, etc.
A raw friend of mine ate here everyday.

Love it - nice self service lunch - Edit
Really love this store in Kappa. It's easy to miss if you don't know it's there, but a real gem to find on the island. I have been coming here for years every time I visit and I can always find what I need.
They have a good selection of everything you would expect in a health food shop including, fresh veg and salads, bathroom products, fresh food, bread, frozen and refridgerated stuff, a great 'weigh n' save' selection and a nice self service food counter at a very reasonable price.
Pros: Lots in stock, healthy cafe, friendly staff
