TERRIBLE - Edit
Completely awful experience. Nothing on the menu is marked as vegan, there are some V’s that mark vegetarian. Throughout the menu vegan cheese is mentioned as a topping for pizza and ‘veggie’ burger and a few other dishes, but the dishes are not marked as vegan. When I asked what vegan meals were available, the clueless waitress said she wasn’t sure. She then explained she thinks they had a vegan burger, I asked her to check, she confirmed it was vegan, she ‘thought’ the Mayo was too. She didn’t mention the option of pizza, and when I asked if the veggie curry was vegan she said she didn’t know. At this point I lost complete trust in the establishment to whether they even knew what they were serving. I decided to get the ‘vegan’ burger, which when arrived was actually battered halloumi but apparently vegan scheese, this was not on the menu and not what she had described as a burger. In addition the Mayo served smelled completely of egg. I didn’t touch it, and didn’t eat any of the food. This place should be embarrassed to be quoting vegan cheese on their menu when they have no vegan meals, and have clueless staff serving food they have know nothing about. In fairness this is highly likely not the servers fault at all, but the management.

Good for mixed vegan omnivore group - Edit
Harry Haw's has a view of Rothesay Castle. There is a separate vegan menu with a burger, pizza and dirty fries. There are some other things on the menu that are vegan, such as the onion rings but you need to ask the server about the ingredients. Note that some vegan items e.g. chips are cooked in the same fryer as the fish so not good for allergy sufferers or some vegans. The service was friendly and the portions are huge (maybe too big). The food was generally good.
