Lovely country pub with good food. - Edit
We dined here last night and the food was very good. Nicely presented and some good flavours. The pub itself has recently been refurbished and looks great. It has its own somewhat random car park. If the main side is full it’s a sort of parking puzzle to work out where next to park. Plenty of space though. Two rooms inside plus a sort of conservatory area. Beer garden as well. Service was excellent and food arrived within reasonable time and tasted very good. I had the cauliflower wings, which were in fact very good. And the fish and chips, I realised I had had a bit too much batter at this point but it was still pleasant. Some peas (mushy or otherwise) would have gone well with it. I have only given four stars due to a limited menu, whether this is still a hangover from Covid restrictions I don’t know. 5 starters and 5 mains of which there was one of each sold out left little choice. Whilst the choices in theory should suit all comers I felt it just needed a bit more. Dessert was a cheesecake which was perfectly pleasant although missing one of the advertised parts. The gooseberry purée. I will certainly go again when back visiting relatives nearby.

All vegan gastro pub heaven!!! - Edit
Since discovering the Harp and Crown during lockdown we've eaten there more than we've eaten at any other restaurant. Every dish we've had has been delicious. The environment is great, the building beautiful and the service always impeccable. The menu is always evolving so there's always reason to go back and try new things. Highly recommended for family meals, date nights or a quick post work meal. Really ticks all the boxes. You have to try the cauli wings too! I don't know what they do to them but they are incredibly delicious. Very happy to live so close to this gem.

We really loved calling a stop here as we travelled back from Devon to London. The burger was juicy and the mac n cheese was tasty. Staff was friendly too.

We have eaten their food (takeaway) many times through lockdown, and finally got to visit the pub and dine in. Great choice of food, vegan drinks, lovely setting. In short - perfect!

10/10 for everything, the best thing was that it didn't even advertise itself as vegan making it seem like just another pub except this is one of the loveliest pubs I've been to. What a great way to open people's taste buds to vegan foods. Food was fantastic, staff were friendly, music was fab. Wish I lived closer. Please open more of these types of eateries so they become the norm.

A lot of work has been put into this place.

Read moreI’m quite a picky eater so it can be hard to find places where I love a lot of the dishes, well here everything I tried (that I ordered myself or that my friends ordered) was absolute perfection!!!
Super super tasty, very few processed foods (I think only the burger), very kind staff and a beautiful place!
I cannot wait to be back in this area of the country to eat here again!!!
(One of our friends is gluten intolerant and they had plenty of gluten free options too!!)

Four of us had a wonderful meal at this dog friendly, plant based pub. The highlights for me were the black bean tostada, chips, chocolate torte and sticky toffee pudding. I tried both of the real ales and they were very well kept and delicious. We had excellent service from Katie and Jess and will definitely return. The background music (not too loud) was to our liking too!

LOVED everything about our x2 visits here so far, will return for sure!! Food excellent, fresh, tasty and imaginative. Staff lovely and interior cosy, clean and modern. And no hidden eggs in mayo or dairy in ice cream! A dream come true!

Vegan heaven - Edit
This place is a gem, a true vegan heaven! So cosy, rustical and beautiful, extremely clean (even the napkins smelled like freshly washed)! The waitress was super nice even when we came close to the closing time. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty, best I had in years! Can't wait to go there again!

Brilliant pub - Edit
We visited when it opened and loved it! It looks lovely and they were friendly and helpful to us and our 2-year-old. Most importantly the food was really tasty! It's amazing to have a vegan place to eat in this area and I hope they will be able to keep going.

Lovely food! Whether you are plant-based or not, you can't argue that it isn't tasty as hell. Reasonably priced too for what feels like an upmarket, stylish pub! Will 10000% be visiting again.

This place only opened 9 days ago but we’ve eaten here twice already! We tried different dishes each time and were impressed both times. Family run, friendly, impeccable service and staff and great food with wholefood ingredients. Lovely interior with separate bar and dining areas but you can eat in both. Easy to park and easy to socially distance. Will be back!
