fanastic!

i loved this place!

it was very hard to find though! we even asked people downstairs, but nobody seemed to know about it. it is as described above, but another clue to find it, is to locate the electronic shop "upstairs", which is visible from the street. when you find it, you head down a couple of stairs, and it's right there.

i'm very glad we found it though, they were a true saviour on this trip. i nearly cried when i found out they weren't open on sundays, because this place was amazing. the staff was the nicest staff i ever encountered, and the food was great!

the first night we were there we both had the macrobiotic plate, full of various dishes for 350 (around 7 euro), and the following day i had the tofu-burger for only 70! i was so full.

my boyfriend had the mushroom-burger (eggs in it!) and we were both very pleased. have some cherry juice and a cake upon that.

Pros: wonderful staff, great food

Cons: not open on sundays

From the train and international bus station go under the railway bridge at the bus station away from the city centre. The resturant is approx 2 to 3 mins walk of maybe 200 metres on the left hand side. There is a stairway that goes down to a pedestrian underpass. Harmonija is 1 floor down the stairs and not visible from the road.

First macrobiotic restaurant in Macedonia. 90% + vegan, international food. Big choice. No cow produce used. All home made soya milk, soya yoghurt, soya cheese (apart from the goat cheese dish), soya mayo. Eggs not on the menu but used with 2 dishes when specially requested. Home made breads, home made juices and home made cakes without sugar.

1 fish and 1 shrimp dish available for pescatarians (if it wasn't for this I'd easily give 5 out of 5).

Macedonian and English both spoken and on the menu.

Open 11:00 - 24:00 Monday to Saturday. Closed Sunday.

Friendly service, great tasting food. Seminars on standard and medical macrobiotic meals available.

At time of writing the best restaurant option for veggies in Skopje by a mile.

Pros: 90% + vegan veggie, Friendly service, Near train / bus stations

Cons: 2 non veggie dishes
