Convenient and enjoyable fast food - Edit
It's fast food, and it's vegetarian. It's nothing incredible, but it is a great oasis for vegans in Rio since its menu items are clearly labeled vegan and they have an English menu as well.
Pros: The cookie here is amazing
Cons: Not as cheap as you would expect for fast food

best vegan burger around - Edit
I would give 5 stars if I could. This place is awesome and the vegan burger is awesome. Also, they can make any of the burges vegan by just replacing the cheese for vegan cheese. The cookie is vegan and the best vegan cookie I've ever had!

It's nice to have a place for a quick bite close to the beach. The only thing is that the burgers weren't that special. The place one the corner used to do a killer soy burger, but now they don't because I guess Hare Burger stole that customer segment away! Oh well!

How to get vegan options - Edit
There is some vegan option in this fast food house:
*Require the Shiva Shiitake with "mostarda com ervas finas" (mustard with fine herbs) instead the original honey mustard in menu.
Now(sept/2015) the core hamburguers became vegan back.
They just released the Quinoa Solar Vegan Burguer. Very good.

really tasty burger - but not really a dinner place - Edit
This is a little more than a hole in the wall place - but not much. There were two bar tables and about 6 seats. There was also a single menu which we got to share with another set of customers.
We ordered Shiitake burgers which were very nice. Unfortunately they were out of water and juice - which seemed odd.
The patties seemed to be made of soy protein and other reviews mention that they contained egg.
Also they did not seem to have regular fries - only chips (ie crisps in UK).
Pros: great burger
Cons: closes too early for dinner (7pm), not much space , had run out of water by 6.30pm

not vegan - Edit
Not really sure there IS a way to do vegan here as they said all of the burgers were made with eggs. For an ovo-lacto veg I'd imagine this could be a great place, nicely located between Ipanema and Copacabana. For vegans, it's a non-starter.

Cons: limited selection, nothing vegan, staff not at all thrilled to be there
