Decent enough - Edit
Options are good, tofish is a bit bland- just tofu wrapped in nori and deep fried. Could use some marinating.

Amazing tofish! - Edit
Having been in Devon and Cornwall for the past week unable to find anywhere that served tofish we went slightly out of our way to come here and I’m so glad we did. The service was excellent, views incredible and the tofish hit the spot exactly. Really lovely place.

Visit after a graduation - Edit
We visited today as a group of Vegans and corpse eaters , the booking was made last November, they where told that 3 of us where vegan in an email and that we where looking forward to trying their Tofish
Read moreDespite this, we where told that the Tofish wasn’t available they only had the Jackfruit fish cake
The fish cakes are quite large and are quite a stodgy consistency, you get two with chips ( which are unlimited) and a few salad leaves a tomato and lemon slice
Half way through the meal the waitress announced that they had vegan mayonnaise if we required it
Not a bad meal but lacked flavour

Pros: The fact that two vegan options are available , Light airy restaurant , Quick service
Cons: No Tofish despite booking months ahead , Offered mayo when meal half gone , Lack of staff

Vegan fishcakes - Edit
I was only able to try the fishcakes as the fish was out of stock when I went which was disappointing, but I guess it means it’s popular. Nevertheless, it was still a delicious meal and some very nice chips.
Read moreDo be aware though, the floor in the restaurant was very slippery and I fell over onto my bum. Wear grippy shoes.

A bit of a mixed/confusing experience here - Edit
In general i really enjoyed everything about this place, the view from the restaurant over the harbour is very nice. The food was fresh and tasted great, the onion rings were so so crisp, the chips very tasty and well made. Mushy peas and curry sauce were really excellent.
Read moreThe only trouble was the fish. The fish is nice, it's tofu covered in nori and batter. At first it seemed great, but by the end of the meal I realised it was very very salty and actually struggled to finish the fish, and I love a lot of salt.
So I'm left a little confused, the quality of the food was *very* high, the salt on the fish was way way too much, a slight problem that could be fixed easily by not soaking the fish in as much brine? or using less nori? Perhaps they didn't taste the fish before serving?
Overall I'd recommend trying as I wonder if they had an off day.

Lovely vegan fish & chips (tofu wrapped in seaweed, then battered) or vegan fishcake. The tofu can be of a varying size though…

Realistic and tasty - Edit
This is our second time here and we were so impressed with their vegan jackfruit fish - it’s white and crumbly, just like real cod and tastes the same as well. I didn’t like the fish cakes very much, but it’s personal taste I guess. On the day we went tofish wasn’t available but it’s very nice too, just not as realistic as jackfruit (honestly I’d never be able to say it’s jackfruit!!)

Vegan fish and chips - Edit
Chip shop vegan options seem to be rare, so when I found Harbour Lights I made a special trip.
Read moreI wasn't disappointed. Two options for vegan fish which is tofu or jackfruit. I went for jackfruit and it was as close to fish as you can get. Exceeded all expectations. Cooked fresh, crispy batter, delicious and I thought reasonably priced. I also went for the banana blossom fishcake and all the usual suspects. Will definitely be going again soon!
Seating overlooking the water. What's not to like?
Pros: Vegan options
Cons: None

Vegan fish and chips - Edit
Great to see a mainstream fish and chip shop offer vegan options. The vegan ‘fish’ is marinated tofu wrapped in nori. The batter was fantastic, crispy and light. The tofu, soft with the taste of the sea from the nori; probably the best vegan ‘fish’ I’ve had. The chips were perfect, crisp, fluffy in the middle snd a generous portion. The mushy peas were also good. Only let down was the lack of salt and vinegar even though I’d asked for extra. It didn’t put me off however as I went and had the same the next night. Highly recommend.

Vegan chippy - Edit
Nice to actually have vegan options that aren’t just chips! Unfortunately they had ran out of the fish so I had the fish cake. It was ok but wasn’t amazing to be honest, but was glad I tried it. Would love to try the tofu fish next time.

Decent and appreciated the effort - Edit
The batter for the vegan fish was really good and the chips were perfect. Bit stingy on the salt and vinegar though, could have improved the meal is they were a bit more liberal with it like proper old fashioned chippies.
