Very Nice place at the Lamai Nightmarket. The food is delicious and the woman who runs this place is super friendly. Big portions for a cheap price. This place is 100% vegan! No eggs are used!

Opposed to what I read in old reviews, this place is 100% vegan! They even have a recognition of Peta on their stand.

Lovely Thai food and good value - Edit
Lovely fried spring rolls and the peanut sauce for the fried tofu was also delicious. Tried both the red and green curries and the food was delicious. Wish I found it sooner, located in the night market with outdoor seating in front

Cheap in a pricey area but not amaze - Edit
This stall is nice and cheap for Koh Samui. I had the fried rice and it was fine. I would go back if I need a cheap meal on the go again and defo worth checking out if you’re wanting to get vegan food from a stall.

The most delicious vegan Pad Thai! 😍 Nice to have a vegan place on a night market. 🙌🏼
Read moreIt takes some minutes, because they make everything fresh. But the staff is very friendly and tells you how long you have to wait (just a few minutes).

Very tasty food, for a good price! They do cook with eggs if you request it but they seem to wash the pans after using egg so had no issues with cross contamination. Friendly and quick service. Serving Thai food and some spaghetti dishes. I recommend ☺️

Happy Vegans frying eggs?? - Edit
Echoing others here that it’s so nice to have a vegan stall at a night market in lamai. I ordered a masaman curry & mushroom cakes without thinking (as the place is literally called Happy Vegan) then as I came back to check on the progress of my meal I got the shock of my life seeing them crack open and fry eggs. I had to check everything i ordered was vegan, which they assured me it was but it felt v weird…
Read moreThe food I ordered was fine (no sign of egg!) and they served big portions. However the mushroom cakes were quite salty for me.

Great (and only) vegan option at the Lamai night market! - Edit
So happy to find a vegan stall at the night market, mixed in among all the awful dead animal stalls. Funny that they advertise as "vegan" but her first question when I ordered the Pad Thai was whether I wanted egg. Other than egg, the rest of their menu is vegan. Great spring rolls. They also have curry, papaya salad, etc. So nice to not worry about fish sauce / paste. Was also healthier / less oil than other locations which I appreciated. Small "menu" but perfect for a night market and all the classics. Good value.
Read morePros: Vegan food at the night market!, Healthier / less oil for Pad Thai, Reasonable pricing
Cons: Wish they would eliminate the egg from their menu!

A blessing at the night market - Edit
You’ve been to Annie’s. You’ve been to Nana Tam. But now you’re at the night market and mango sticky rice won’t cut it. Don’t worry, Happy Vegan saves the day.
Read moreThey have all the classics, and they do them well. But, what makes Happy Vegan stand out is their deep fried mixed mushrooms cake. 🤤
