Always closed

The first time I came I loved the food, it was fresh and tasty. I had the spring rolls and sandwiches. I've tried to come back on three separate occasions but it's always been closed. Today is a Thursday at 2pm and it's all shut up. Really frustrating.

I come to this little restaurant almost daily since 2 years and I agree that the food is fresh and always very tasty (that's why I come so often).
I know many other good restaurants in Chiang Mai and they are all good but this restaurant tops all of them (concerning taste). There has never been a dish which I didn't like and when I have my lunch there I usually take some food for dinner with me.
It is always open till 3 pm, exept sunday.
But if you want to have some variety you should come before 1 pm.
Because they cook always fresh every day, some dishes might be gone already when coming late.
I understand that it is frustrating to stand in front of a closed restaurant. But if you come on time you will enjoy a real tasty meal (always)!

Amazing!

The owner is super nice!! The food is super fresh and super yummy. Be aware that it might be spicy😄
Also the owners sister makes vegan cake, it’s wrapped as if it’s bought but it’s actually homemade.
If you are in chiang mai make sure to come here😄

Pros: Daily different menu , Homemade cake , Super nice owner

Cons: Maybe a little too spicy some of the dishes

Truely Happy Time!

Very friendly staff, everything vegan and moderate prices. We ate a lot and took even more for takeaway (starters like sushi and wraps, diffrent main plates with rice and a nice but small selection of delicious desserts.)

Pros: Everything vegan and very friendly staff

Cons: Small selection

Super

Wow! What a tasty vegan food! Just 50 Bhat for a meal. And in comparison to many other small eateries, it is very, very clean.
The lady speaks good English and will show and explain all food she offers. Very relaxed and very friendly.

Pros: Everything is vegan...

Cons: ...except some cake

Happy belly

Amazingly affordable Thai food minus the fish sauce! Food already prepped so you can choose to sit down or takeaway. Ridiculously friendly staff also make this place a treat. I can't wait to go back!

This place is amazing. The thing that makes it stand out is the lovely lady that runs it. She speaks good English and is so friendly. The sushi is the best! The rice paper rolls are also amazing! Awesome Vegan food

Happy Time has to be my favourite place to eat Vegan food in Chiang Mai. Bee works out front making sure everyone is happy while Ja the chef is working out back creating yummy Vegan food. Took our daughter there every day & they always made sure she was catered for & well fed. Amazing place, join their Facebook page to see what’s available daily as the menu is always evolving.

Pros: Close to the warorot markets, Free water available, Friendly service with a clean environment

clean and cheap

Every dish for 35b, everything vegetarian or vegan.
Very very clean, you could even eat on the toilet floor.
Apparently no waste, there are already packed food and 3 dishes to serve.
The owner (woman) speaks english and is very kind.

Pros: very hygienic

Cons: none

No salad.

Excited to try the highly reviewed salads here as they're hard to find in Chiang Mai.

The first visit they had no food at 12pm except for one mock meat white bread sandwich with no vegetables in it.

The second visit they said they don't make salad any more.

We were offered vegan stew of several kinds, but you can get that anywhere.

Consistently Delicious

I eat here at least twice a week and I’ve never had a bad meal! The owner, B, speaks great English and is very sweet. This place is very clean and bright and the dishes change every day. They cook about 4 different Thai dishes a day as well as veg sushi, steamed buns, spring rolls, and desserts to-go. It’s slightly more expensive than the usual gin jay spots, 3 dishes over rice is 50baht, but well worth it!

Pros: always delicious

Cons: food goes quickly; try to get there before 12pm

Lovely

Like others have said, this lovely little place is different to the typical Thai jey food places as it is very clean and modern inside. Also, they have non-fried foods too!
You can order a salad, spring rolls or sushi if you want healthier options.
They also have a variety of pre-made hot dishes which change every day. Usually things like khao soy, green curry and other vegetable dishes. All of this is vegan.
They also have steamed buns and sandwiches too!
All of this is vegan. The only non-vegan items are a couple of the cake items but they are clearly marked and they have vegan cakes as well. Try the banana muffin!
Despite being a much more pleasant place than the typical Thai style jey places, the prices are still the same (very low.)
Great new addition to Chiang Mai.

Pros: Healthy options, Low prices, Pleasant staff

Cons: Need to get rid of non-vegan desserts

Delicious!

If you come to Chiang Mai and look for tasty, healthy and cheap vegan and vegetarian food, you should not miss this hidden gem!

Came here today to have lunch with my boyfriend. We had rice with three vegan choices of potatoes, cabbage, pumpkin, mushrooms and noodles. Everything was so tasty and delicious!

The owner is adorable and will explain you the ingredients of every dish. The atmosphere is cozy and it is super clean!

It was so yummy that we couldn't resist to order a sandwich (6 portions for only 55 THB!) and vietnamese spring rolls to take away.

Pros: Friendly owner, Delicious and healthy food

Happy Time Vegan Foods and Salad Box

Bea, the owner, is peaceful, friendly, smiling, and attentive. She cooks several dishes, different each day, which comprise the primary menu. When you walk in, she will take you down the line of curries and soups and noodles she has prepared that day, explaingin the ingredients of each dish.

Also on offer: some of the best salad rolls (rice paper wrapped) full of savory tofu and vegetables and served with a sauce you may be tempted to drink. Vegan sushi, tempura-like seaweed, and deserts. Salads (which, as discussed in an earlier review, are ample and full of a surprising array of ingredients), sandwiches, and muffins are also available.

The food is tremendous. The owner is kind and pleasant. The atmosphere is cute, informal but quiet, and very clean.

The portions are ample (but not stuff yourself like a fat American sized), and you can eat a satisfying lunch or dinner for about two dollars (US).

A few of the deserts have eggs in them, but they are clearly marked and Bea is good about letting you know which are strictly vegan. Otherwise, all the food is animal-free.

If you’re in Chiang Mai and looking for cheap, healthy, delicious food and friendly service, go to Happy Time.

Pros: Delightful owner with good English, Fresh, delicious, and inexpensive, Clean and cute

Cons: Closes at 5:00 or 5:30 PM

Soooo yummy

I really loved it here. The owner was so happy to have me and adorably thankful that I was vegan. I ate the salad there but also got a lot of things to go, like some spring rolls with mushroom, tofu, carrot, pumpkin. etc., a steamed bun with various veggies, and a banana cake. They were all delicious, but the salad was especially incredible. It must've had 20+ ingredients, including everything from barley and peas to dragonfruit, canteloupe, and raisins. Plus, the dressing was out of this world.

I went back a few days later (such a shame it was on the other side of town, or I would've gone more!), and I got the plate of rice and three hot dish choices for a total of only 45 baht. I also grabbed a sandwich to go. Everything was so tasty and different from the traditional Thai jay cuisine. Such a fresh and colorful set of foods. Great for anyone looking for clean eating with great flavors.

Pros: Great prices and friendly service, Healthy/colorful foods, Delicious!

Cons: Other desserts need to be veganized
