A Happy Cow since 2013 - Edit
Happy Cow has been serving vegan ice creams for at least six years.
Read moreI was lucky I got to visit their ice cream factory in 2013.
Happy Cow is a brand of dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, low glycemic vegan and most importantly Kosher icecream.
The main ingredients include guar gum a natrual thickener, coconut sugar (brown) which gives their ice-creams a brown colour.
All their flavours have an extremely coconutty taste attributed to coconut milk and coconut sugar, and the texture is thick and creamier to other ice creams.
I am so glad that Happy Cow has a booth by the wheel so people can get their ice cream fix.
That day I got my favourite cherry fudge which is sweet and satisfying with chunks of fudge and cherries.
The texture was thick and gooey.

Love this place! - Edit
I love coming here. Because it is coconut-based, some flavours can taste a little coconutty but with stronger flavours like chocolate this isn't really noticeable. It's right by Tamar Park and the piers so a nice place to sit down/stroll. Another positive is that because it's next to the observation wheel, a lot of non-vegan tourists come here for ice cream😄

Vegan ice cream fooling dairy eaters is always a winner with me. Salted caramel is the best

Average but fantastic - Edit
The ice cream was average, but the shop is great. It's situated inside a popular tourist area and has high non-vegan traffic. Plenty of flavours, we tried the pumpkin fudge, macadamia caramel, chai tea and peppermint chocolate. Macadamia caramel was the best. You can have a waffle cone, a crispy waffle cup or a paper cup, we went with the crispy waffle cup and it lived up to its name. The depth of flavour is a let down, but the concept is fantastic.
