Happy Buddha
Small shop modestly furnished and offers Asian dishes. As of 2015 owner reports food is all vegan. Shop is set back from the road and is easily missed and is not well-known by taxi drivers. Kitchen breaks in the late afternoon. Directions: from Jl Legian and Jl Pantai Kuta intersection, follow signs to Denpasar, or ask locals for "Sentral Parkir." Restaurant is on the right, near Alpha Sigma Cargo, 100 meters from Giant Supermarket-Bus Parking Halte. It's a 12-minute walk along the main road. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-9:00pm.

Surprise - Edit
It took a while to find since the sign is quite small. We enetered and weren't very impressed. It's a small restaurant that doesn't offer much in the way of ambience.
It was hot, we were hungry, we just decided to order and eat anyways. When the food came out we were amazed at how tasty they were. We ordered a second course since it was so cheap. Fake meats taste awesome and the veggies were great!
If you go don't be scared away. It's cheap and tastes great!
Pros: Fake meats taste great, Inexpensive
Cons: Looks scary when you first enter

homemade vegetarian food - Edit
Don't expect anything fancy here. It's simple delicious homemade dishes with fresh ingredients , no mock meat.

Disappointing - Edit
This is essentially a low quality mock meat resto. They didn't even serve tempeh - in Indonesia of all places! The dishes were small and unremarkable. The level of English spoken was low, which is fine, but I seriously doubt it is 100% vegan as a result - they likely don't realise some ingredients in mock meats are not vegan (ie, whey).
Pros: Vegan options
Cons: Low quality, All mock meat

Great food, great price and really nice owners! - Edit
This is by far the best vegan food I've been to in Bali so far. We were three people sharing seven dishes (they are not small, we were just really hungry and there was so much good to choose from) and we were amazed by how good the food was. The grilled (vegan) fish was amazing!! Also the nuggets, the Peking duck and well everything was so good. The fresh juice was also very very good.
Yes, it's almost only mock meat dishes.. and it is very well prepared and so much to choose from.
Don't expect rawfood vegetable dishes here, it's a vegan mock meat restaurant and one of the beat I've even been too (and I've been in many!).
Deeply recommending it! Oh, and it's an all vegan restaurant!
Pros: Great food and all vegan! , Great prices, Friendly staff
Cons: None

jhon108 29 Nov 2015 - couldn't agree with your review more, it has saved me writing my own. My partner and i ate here several times and enjoyed every visit. Being fans of mock meat we tried lots of different dishes and relished them all.The owners were really friendly and ordering is easy from the English picture menu.

Unhappy Buddha - Edit
We walked out expectantly to this restaurant to find some veggie heaven. However, the poor state of the sidewalks should have forewarned us of the tragedy this place would turn out to be. We ordered the soup, veg, rice and noodles and were very disappointed with all meals - instead of trying to savour the taste, we couldn't wait to get rid of it. We believe this must be due to the amount of "mock meats" within every single dish including the fried rice. Instead of delicious fresh vegetable flavours, the overwhelming flavour was fake, plasticy, sausage. The price was fine, similar to a warung, however we really did not enjoy our meal.

Amazing - Edit
Great value for money and awesome food. Had 4 dishes and 2 drinks for $8.50!!! The cheapest place so far with vegan options and very good food.
A place which should be given a lot more credit. Soooo much potential!!!!
Pros: cheap, good and filling
Cons: kitchen was apparently filthy

Convienent for those visiting Kuta - Edit
It's a short walk from the Legian Street bemo stop, about 15 minutes. Inexpensive and quick service. I tried 3 dishes on 2 occasions and found them mildly spicy. One was prepared as take away. There were hot red and green chilis that were firy but I could pick them out so the dish was quite nice.
If you are in Kuta, definitely worth a visit!
Pros: inexpensive, quick service, short walk from central Kuta
Cons: location on some maps is incorrect, staff speak little English

Pleasant - Edit
Good was pleasant but nothing special. It's the sort of place I struggle to say more than that about because it's fairly non-discript. Cheap as you'll find and about the same as any $10 a meal Asian place you'd find in Australia.

Easy to find and definitley an easy walk from Poppies11/Kuta beach area if a cheap taxi wasnt an option.A pretty classic yet simple Chinese Vegetarian Bhuddist Restaurant with assorted"fake"meats and delicious vegetables, and nice juices. Yes its all vegetarian(no egg)and delicious. Probably not the most fat free food for those"fat conscious"people-as we all know chinese love to use oil when they cook!(which is fine by me!haha), but the food is tasty and delicious. For the budget conscious traveller this is a great place to go-my standard meal is-i am 6'2"100+kg=2plates+rice+juice which costs me about IRP50000($6NZD)..I am sure most could eat there for less..Excellent/cheap/tasty...Vegetarian!Peace.
Pros: All Vegetarian-no egg/healthy!, Easy to find!walk/cheap taci!, Budget friendly/tasty...yummy!
Cons: none, none, none

nice place. Take a taxi to go, he will have to call them to find the way and remember the road to go back by foot because it's not far. cheap.
Be carreful to take a bali taxi (blue) with counter, that will cost around 8000R, if you don't have counter, they will ask you 30 000 !!!!!!!!

OK - Edit
We walked away paying far less here than any other vego restaurant in Bali, however, we did not find the food that enjoyable or tasty. Their "Bali beef" tasted more like burnt dried toast than anything enjoyable, it also had a really funky smell. Some of the other food was acceptable but I would not consider it worthwhile going out of the way for this place. In saying that if you are nearby and want a really cheap meal, pay a visit here.
Pros: very cheap
Cons: average food

Great Food, Cheap as chips - Edit
Modest shop-front, Formica tables, spartan decor, and very little English, but what a treat for your palate. Great variety of mock meats, modest serves, super budget prices (abt A$5/head). You get lots of variety and leave satisfied. Try the Crab Soup, Crispy Pork, S/S Fish - to mention a few from a large menu. I went there 3 times in a week, and think it is the best in Bali. Check taxi driver knows the area. Hard to find, and set back from strret
Pros: Terrific food, large menu, inexpensive
Cons: Spartan, hard to find
