So Happy - Edit
We loved our experience at Happy Boy! Inside it was fully booked, but we didn't mind. We sat outside under the lights and it was magical. The service was exceptional.
Read moreGreat choices on the menu, which made it difficult. I had the Mapo Tofu. It was delicious and made with mushrooms. The veg spring rolls were also lovely.

Chinese heaven - Edit
We went here knowing that we would be able to have a few options veganised for us, and we were so impressed with the ease and grace of our experience. All the vegetarian options were vegan except for one. They were super happy to help out with any questions. They even said that they could do the banquet option completely vegan (which is highly unusual in my experience).
Read moreWe had the Fungus Fried Rice, Burnt Broccolini and Many Mushrooms Much Tofu, which was enough for two people. Would have loved to order more, but was too full after sharing three dishes.
Lovely staff, interesting menu; a great experience overall! Will definitely come back for the banquet another time :)
A great place to dine with non vegan or gluten free friends as well, as everyone can find something lovely on the menu.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Happy to cater for any dietary requirement , Can have the banquet option veganised

Unexpected Delight - Edit
I was doubtful about this restaurant because it doesn’t specify vegan - only vegetarian options - on the downloadable menu but on the online order section (we had delivery) they are 12 items clearly marked as vegan or vegan options. When we asked we were told they don’t specify vegan (no fish sauce either - we asked). So if you don’t mind potential for cross-contamination I highly recommend the Mapo tofu, Many mushrooms much tofu, burnt broccolini, dry-fried green beans, eggplant, and noodles, Chow Ho Fun (thick noodles) and fungus fried rice. I’m not normally a fan of Chinese cuisine (traumatised by too much suburban chow mein growing up) but this is the real deal - absolutely delicious, authentic Chinese flavours.
